The Tropical Wildlife Of Costa Rica And Panama 4K | 1,000 Days For The Planet | Real Wild

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

The Sedna 4 Team travels to the Highlands of Costa Rica and through its lush forests to find the elusive jaguar. Due to loss of habitat and coexistence with humans, the jaguars space is becoming smaller and their protected spaces are not connected by migration corridors, rather in small scattered pockets throughout Central and South America. Because of this, jaguars have less prey and are often found preying on livestock. The team meets some of the conservationists working to help keep the jaguar population protected.
Elsewhere in Panama, due to the heavy traffic that comes through the canal, a mysterious microscopic fungus has made its way into the rainforests and is killing off the frogs and other amphibians. With no cure for this epidemic, species are beginning to go extinct, so conservation has become imperative. The Sedna 4 team continues on in the Panama rainforest for a look at the 3 toed sloth on Barro Colorado Island. Residing in the canopy of the rainforest, researcher Bryson takes the team for an exclusive look into their habitat on this private research-only island, as well as the smaller remote island of Escudo, where the pygmy sloths live, and are up to 40% smaller than a typical 3 toed sloth.

I lived and worked in the Fortuna Arenal volcano, Costa Rica. The river behind my house had so many tiny colorful frogs jumping around....it was magical..... I felt like Alice in Wonderland. It was amazing!! That was 2016....I hope it remains the same. I ❤CR🇨🇷 P.S Thanks for the documentary.... it's awesome!

deforestation, poaching, and climate change are 100% the fault of humans and are very big problems, many animals have already gone extinct due to these factors. what we need to do is 1. consume more consciously and responsibly; not buying things we don’t absolutely need, being aware of the ingredients in our products (such as palm oil), try to buy less products with single use plastics (most are unhealthy processed foods anyway), and stop supporting large agriculture because it results in massive habitat loss for endangered species (so go vegan, or eat less meat, or buy local) 2. have more government mandated protected areas and parks that have rangers to prevent poaching 3. try to reduce our individual carbon emissions also, ALWAYS RECYCLE

No you moron humans didnt have anything to do with the extinction of dinosaurs! You are really that uneducated???? You fool of course we can do something about it. that ignorant moronic statement that its life folks is why there are so many problems. All you stupid and selfish people have done your damage but thankfully as an entire human race our collective consciousness and ability to change things is tipping the scales. Hopefully we can breed idiots like you out of the human race.
