So how is the rod? I found other video showing someone breaking their Phenix rod and posting Phenix won't warranty it. Also how does it compare to a G. Loomis?

Hey thanks for watching! The rod is great! I have other videos using it check em out! I don’t know what video or whatever your talking about, can’t speak on others experience with Phenix. I haven’t fished a G Loomis so can’t say.

Again can’t speak on others experience 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’ve never had a problem or anyone else I know even before I was sponsored. Not too sure what you’d like me to say. I base my opinions on my own experience.

I drove to phenix in bell flower last week to fix a hide guide- they charged $40 They fixed it but they charged

@@FishDonkey626 This is what I keep hearing. They don't back their products and they are not well made. I went to Fisherman's Access back in December and looked at all the Phenix rods. They had like 30. All different types and lengths. I scrutinized every one in hopes to purchase one or two. Not one was decent. All had bent down guides and most all, if something else was not wrong, had the guides that were not laid straight on the blank. Others had that plus the handles were poorly assembled. I can see large gaps between pieces. I left the store empty handed and happy that I did not put a penny into one. 😊

You said the weight of the rod is 16oz. I don't see how it weighs 16oz for a 9' 2" rod? That's WAY too heavy!!

I don’t think it’s too heavy considering the fish your catching on it. Pairs great with the Vanford 2000

@@TroutMadeAnglerCo I want to paint it with my two Stella 1000's but 16oz is a beast heavy. My Loomis are 3.5oz and only a few lunches smaller. 😕

See not sure we’re targeting the same thing, big fish like salmon steelhead and big cutthroat not normal trout. I think your setup is great but prob for regular size trout 10lbs and less. Completely different from what your telling me. What is the line weight and lire weight for the loomis?

@@TroutMadeAnglerCo Loomis is a E6X. I even go inshore fishing with it. It's 8'6" and is 8-12lbs with 10lb braid and 8lb Flouro and the rid weighs 4.4 oz and can do lures 3/8-3/4 and is actually a Salmon Steelhead rod. So that Phenix Chrome rod is 3x's as heavy or basically that one rod weighs as much as 3 Loomis E6X rods! I was planning to get two but now have second thoughts. 😬

@@TroutMadeAnglerCo You can even use 1000 size reel. I have seen a 1000 size reel land 20lb snapper. 😊
