Ойын-сауық

In this video I take you on a tour through the recently renewed railway station of the hague (den haag) in the netherlands. what's cool about this station is that there runs a tramline right through the main hall.

Intercity trains do not run through Den Haag Centraal as it is a terminus. You were travelling through Den Haag HS instead with your intercity.

As a German i love The Nederlands. I spent many times in The Hague (Den Haag), my wife is dutch, it‘s a wonderful city! Awesome historical centre and an ingenious, well constructed train station (Den Haag Centraal) with three trafic levels for trains, tram and autobuses. The public transport system of the HTM there is extraordinary. Even „Holland-Style“! 👏🇳🇱 Mooie

I've been to The Netherlands four times now (mostly Amsterdam, but also Rotterdam, IJmuiden, Muiden, and Haarlem), and I simply love Dutch public transportation. I have been on trains, trams, metros, boats, buses, bikes, and my feet, but I have not once been in a car.

ayyy, it's the one i pass through pretty much every day! it is quite an interesting one, with their bus, train, metro and tram connections, and it has some pretty good other amenities, such as those bottle deposit machines (known as statiegeld here), multiple shops, also a public bathroom (though it is one of those paid bathrooms). it is kinda interesting though that while the station has an AH(albert heijn, not the infamous austrian painter) to go location, there's a regular AH location within walking distance. (obviously the food/drinks in AH to go are considerably more expensive as well) this kind of makes it pointless to shop at the AH to go instead of just going to the AH nearby, where you can get most of what you could get at the AH to go at probably half the price, assuming you are aware that it's there. obv that doesn't apply as much to the starbucks, or the smullers, or the burger king location, but y'know.

I honestly don't get all the applause for Berlin HBf. It's seriously hampered by its location, it takes bloody ages to get from the top to the bottom level, the top platforms are way too narrow to the point of being unsafe, the bottom level is about as cozy as a crematorium (and cold!), orientation is not horrible but also not ideal (it still happens that I leave the station on the wrong side, some tracks below are quite well-hidden, and for a first-time visitor it's not that easy to find the U-Bahn), it's quite easy to get lost among all the gaudiness of the shops, and honestly, it's really already too small and continually overpopulated.

Downstairs is another tram line and also a bus stop. Intercity trains also stop at this station, so I would consider it as one of the 'big 3' along with HS and Central Station.
