This concept was never taught by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. "GOD" is a "SPIRIT", "THE WORD" and that same "SPIRIT" is the "HOLY GHOST". The same "HOLY GHOST" overshadowed "Mary" and fulfilled the prophecy spoken in Isaiah 7:14; " Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel."
Therefore, the "HOLY GHOST" is not a third person in the "GODHEAD" or a distinct entity, but "GOD" himself, "THE FATHER". That alone eliminates the notion of three persons in one because the "FATHER" is the "HOLY GHOST".
The "SON" is that same "WORD" that same "SPIRIT" made "FLESH" as spoken in John 1:14; "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." That is the purpose of the "SON", because a "SPIRIT", the "HOLY GHOST" can't die, to be an offering for "SIN", but the "FLESH OF GOD" can die and raise from the dead.
As spoken in Hebrews 9:22; "And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission." and Hebrews 9:12 "Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us." Also in that same chapter of Hebrews, it confirms who the "SON OF GOD" is in Hebrews 9:15-17; "And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth."
"GOD" is that testator of the "Old Testament" and the "New Testament".
So don't get caught up in titles (Father, Son, Holy Ghost), know the commandment the Lord himself said in Mark 12:29-32; "And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:"
So, there is no "Trinity", "Triune", "3 in 1" or " 3 persons in the Godhead", there is just "ONE GOD" and his name is "JESUS" and in him dwells the fullness of the "GODHEAD BODILY". Colossians 2:9-10; "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:"
The Son of God Conceived by the Holy Ghost:
Matthew 1:18-25 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
