I love a cappella so much that its hard to impress me any more. It HAS to be good, or I just cringe. THIS was outstanding!! Next I will go to the Trills' page and check them out further. Really a well-done version of this catchy tune.

But thats kinda how a sea shanty works, you are supposed to mix it up, how else do you think they stood singing the same songs for months on end with their tiring work.

I like their expressions - it's like they are telling a story (as it supposed to be, i guess). It immerses me in the song. And they sound GREAT! Amazing! The teamwork is admirable, it deserves great respect.

This is the best version of "Wellerman" that I've heard. Did you know this is from New Zealand? The Wellerman was an employee of the Weller brothers, who supplied whaling ships. The whale referred to is a Southern Right whale.

My dad was Navy. I went Army. But back in the day when this song was relevant, there was nothing more bad ass than being in the navy. At sea for months.
