Another very useful video. And I enjoy that your models aren't the angry, "cannot-smile" type so many photographers use. They have personalities and you allow them to shine in the video and in the photos you take of them.

Thanks Andrew and Demi! Super tutorial. Before I bought my DSLR I was using my Nikon F90s and an SB-15 flash. I used to tape a piece of lens cleaning tissue to the face of the flash to diffuse. That diffused and I figure, cut the power of the flash by at least 3/4 of s stop. Seemed to work.

How about using method number 3? I've had great success with your two ways and also by using the Slow Sync setting. Actually as a method number 4, (I rarely if ever use this method). Simply change the dial setting to Night.

Any chance of tutorial of configuring your camera setting to match the display on a computer ? Always have this problem and printing is another story.

Love this - great teaching. Really clear. Still annoyed that my Canon 430 has no bounce card. Ridiculous
