This film is a love letter to life.

This movie haunts me recently. There is an honesty in grief and there is no joy without grief. No love without heartbreak. That is the blessing and the curse of our mortality -- to love things and people and creatures and moments which will leave us. And to love them more intensely BECAUSE we are temporary.

No matter how many times I watch this, I break out in tears every time older Jack puts his hand on Father's shoulder and Mother reconnects with J.L It's beyond perfect.

In all of the thousands of videos I have encountered on youtube and elsewhere this is one of the few that I keep returning to. It feeds the light within me and gives me hope in an increasingly dark world.

I cry profusely every time I watch this movie. I can't explain why. I just feel the presence of God and his consoling Spirit.

The Tree Of Life is a spiritual experience.

People who love this film or Tarkovsky in general are very Special to me ❤️

I loved my Paula with all my heart, she loved me with her very soul, and touched mine. We lived life, we loved one another with every fibre of our being, hers was a beautiful soul and a wonderful heart. She was chirpy, generous, happy. She was flawed as well, like all humans, but I loved her so much I didn't mind, she filled my life, she filled my heart, she entered my very soul. Then along came cancer, and after 8 months, it was all over, my Paula was gone, my Paula had become a memory, my heart is broken, my soul wounded, I keep going only because she told me to, for life is a gift, not to be wasted. One day my love, we will once again, go along our river walk, hand in hand, hugging from time to time, and I shall once more whisper softly into your ear "I love you", on into eternity. Tiago. O filme é uma obra prima. É extraordinário. Porém, também comigo se passou algo semelhante a você na primeira vez que vi o filme. Li sobre ele e dei uma segunda chance. Foi o correcto. Só na segunda percebi o quão magnífico é.
