    I have been layering beats into my songs for years now. And it's very addictive as I use three spare decks layering three different beats that are looped into a song on the fourth deck to basically remix a song on the fly in real time. You can make a song sound different every time you play it giving it that extra punch. My prime 4 works well for this as it has four decks.

    Good tutorial. It’s getting people used to jumping with hotcues and taking them away from static mixing and blending if they take note of this. The loop is always the best way to do this too so it’s great example, and always the easiest route also which is always good if your playing live. Hot cues are the best thing to ever hit a set of decks 😂.

    If you have a Traktor Kontroller S4 Mk1 or Mk2 with the loop recorder and Traktor Kontroller F1 you can build an incredibly strong library of all kinds of remix samples with high, mid, or low frequencies filtered out. (You could also use the loop recorder manually in the software if you have a different build that does not have the built in loop recorder) I usually keep the 4th channel free so I can grab loops from other songs to layer in or on top of the current track that is on focus. With the loop recorder set to "cue" it will only capture audio on channels that are set to cue in your headphones so the audience won't hear what you're doing. Further if you want to filter out highs and mid frequency and only capture bass lines it will do so, or only mids or even it will capture any changes you make. Its a really powerful tool that I was sad to see discontinued by Native Instruments. I don't see a lot of Traktor videos on Crossfader channel here, but I suppose it is a Pioneer and Rekordbox focus content.

    Yes they will go out of sync eventually but depending on how long you want to transition or blend it is not of high importance. You are not gonna notice a thing during a 16 bar transition when the two bpms are off by .07 so it's okay when they arent the exact same, especially when some controllers or mixers are bit finicky with their bpm fader.

  • @djtakeout9163
    @djtakeout9163 Жыл бұрын

    one of my favorite versions of this is reversing the classic 'cut low EQ on track A & bring in track B then fade out track A' by knocking the HPF/LPF over a little bit on track A & cutting the high EQ completely to start sneaking in track B with an aggressive LPF, mids turned down, & bass completely off. then you can slowly open up this very tight, high, crackly hi-hat pattern from track B into its full mids & highs as you muffle the first track out. it's great if you're doing it into a track with a bit of an intro before the kick or a bassline comes in & then get the 4-bar phrases lined up so right when track A goes out track B kicks in & takes over. incredibly basic & easy, sure, but it's so hard to mess it up & as a bonus it really got me thinking about mapping tracks out in 4-/8-/16-bar phrasing.
