I will never forget my 10 grade English teacher who told me I had a great talent to write poetry as she singled me out for her top honors. Now at 80 I long for days to write and read inner spirits of humanity.

You don't make it clear if you followed your teacher's advice? Did you put your poetry into writing? But you make it sound as if you cannot write poetry now. Why do you say that? I really hope I have misunderstood, and that you can do what you long for. You can get a simple dictating machine, to record your musings and poems. You only need a simple one. It should be affordable I think. Or maybe use your phone? I don't know how well you can see nowadays, and phones hardly have any buttons, so it is hard for people with poor eyesight. My granddad had very slow writing when he was old, it must have been very frustrating. So therefore I wanted to remind you that it is possible to record your voice too. Do you have descendants? Your voice is gold. Friends lost their teenage daughter a long time ago. This was in the beginning of the smartphone era. By accident, they discovered a phone answering message she had recorded for times when she couldn't pick up the phone. I don't know how many times they listened to that.

@@janalu4067 Jana Lu you seem like a very kind person with empathies and sympathies. It's hard to get through the injustices. It's harder to be able to hold the hand of one you love. Your granddad still holds your mind and your hand.

HBC believes in the transformative power of poetry but not the existence of trans people? Weird

That’s unrelated to the discussion. Can you comment on what she said at all? Or are you only interested in discounting people without listening to them because they don’t share every single belief you do? You’re not going to find many people that believe exactly every tiny nuance you believe. If you do find a large group that believes every belief of yours down to the minuscule that’s a cult

@@joemahma3017 Sure thing. She defended JKR’s transphobic remarks (that are so well documented at this point that I don’t feel like I need to post them here) and her continued association with ‘gender critical activists’ who have moved to legislate trans people out of existence by removing their access to healthcare, along with platforming far-right hate groups that are currently calling for the ‘eradication’ of trans people from society. HBC went on to say that criticising JKR for transphobia is “a load of ballocks” in an extended defence of her attacks on trans people. While I totally agree that no one has to agree on every single detail, I don’t buy the argument when it relates to human beings’ rights’ to exist. JKR is a transphobe. There isn’t a debate to be had there. And HBC’s defense of that transphobia isn’t excused by ignorance nor ‘disagreement’. At the least, she’s carelessly playing defence for a growing movement that’s sole aim is to remove a marginalised group from society and at worst she’s implicitly co-opting that movement and their goals.
