The tragically LOST TANK ENGINES of WW1

-----------------------
A tragic tale of 3 brave little tank engines that went to help during WW1 but never made it there and indeed never made it home.
Hopefully you'll have never heard of the Bideford, Westward Ho! and Appledore Railway, which is good. I hope you get to learn something new and that the story of the 2 missing locomotives gets discussed again.

It always sucks when engines are lost to history instead of being preserved.

Fun Fact: Many a workmen will say that when the moon is full, they can see the little engines trying to get home… But they never make it.

Sad to see these tank engines lost. They would've been cool if they were preserved. Cool video talking about these tank engines. Keep up the great work and take care.

Been visiting bideford for years and was always intrigued by these locos and the railway. Great episode of guide rail ( even stayed in a camp on top of the formation)

Would’ve been fascinating if those locos had existed and ran part of the line in preservation. It’s always nice when locos work at their original homes
