The TRAGIC Origin Of The Order Of The Sith Lords

For 7000 years, the Sith Order was the primary enemy of the Jedi. However, unlike the Jedi, who can trace their origins to 25,000 years before the clone wars, the Siths origins are shrouded in mystery. The Sith Order was largely formed out of an alliance of history's losers, and, as this video will detail, these various groups didn't necessarily start out as evil. Today we will discuss the long and complex history leading up to the formation of the Sith Order, explaining how the suppression of ideas, as well as tragedy, ultimately led to the formation of the brotherhood of the Sith.
To really understand their Siths origins, we must start in the beginning, around 100,000 years before the clone wars. On the world of Korriban, an aggressive red skinned species known as the Sith evolved. This species had a strong connection to the dark side of the force and soon began to form into various warring tribe. The Sith and the Dark Side had a natural symbiosis and They thrived off of it, developing and perfecting dark side abilities that were formerly deemed impossible. The prevalence of violence amongst the Sith kingdoms was frequent but the Sith people viewed it as equally as important as peace and tranquillity. However, unlike the Sith of modern times, the ancient Sith were highly community-based and in a savage and brutal way cared for one another in their tribes.
However, this grey view of the force would not last, as great changes were taking place within the Galaxy. At this time the galaxy was ruled by a species known as the celestials. It is unknown exactly what the celestials were. Some claim they were the embodiments of the force or may have even created the force itself. However, that's a debate for another video. What is known is that they had many client species, most notably the gree, the Kwa, and the hive mind of the Killiks. They used these slave races to create many galactic wonders including the Corellian system and centrepoint station while also teaching primitive species about the will of the force. However, one day, the Kwa would arrive on a planet in the Unknown regions, seeking to teach them about the force as they had done many times before. However, this species, named the Rakata were cannibalistic monsters, hellbent on the conquest of the galaxy. While the details have long been lost, it is generally accepted that the Rakata soon unleashed dark side weapons on the galaxy and waged war upon the Celestials and their client races. The Gree records stated that the rakata, known to them as the Soul Hunter's released curses upon the Celestials including the Gray Swallowing and the Faceless mouths although exactly what these were is no longer known. Other Lovecraftian entities such as the world Razer were unleashed during this war and were said to have consumed over one thousand worlds. After many years of conflict, the Celestials disappeared from the Galaxy with some theorising that they had retreated into the force itself. Following this, the reign of the Rakata began.
However, as the Celestials client races fled from the Rakata, they left a trail of destruction in their wake. The Killiks, possibly under the direction of the celestials themselves, attempted to invade Korriban, revealing to the Sith for the first time that their was life outside of their planet. Even though the Sith were a mere pre-industrial tribal society, they managed to repel the Killiks using the dark side of the force. This war had a profound affect on the Sith species, pushing them deeper into the depths of the dark side.
Civil war continued amongst the Sith nations on Korriban for another two thousand years but the planet was eventually unified under the reign of a single Sith-Adas. Due to the unusual characteristics of his charcoal-colored skin, Adas was nurtured as a chosen being, and he developed into a formidable Sith Lord. Adas had a special skill for Sith magic and oversaw the unification of Korriban's warring kingdoms.
Adas became an unyielding and powerful Sith leader, with the whole of Korriban unified under is command in approximately 28,000 BBY. In honour of this accomplishment, he earned the title Sith'ari, meaning perfect being in the sith language.

So basically the sith would have never become so bad had the Jedi simply invited the theological implications of the original teachings back into the order which is actually the teaching that gives balance to the force naturally, the light side simply makes dogmatism and authoritarian regimes while all dark side makes tyrannical overlords and hedonism. In reality both are true and the lie is they both are by nature fully seperate, they both intertwine with each other and people like Anakin and his pupil and other such ones like the academia Jedi heretic learned this and tried to prevent the Jedi from causing the force imbalance to create their natural countermeasure/nemesis to punish their abuse of the force. Makes sense with a lot of the lore.

There is no dark side, nor a light side There is only the force I will do what I must to keep the balance The balance is what keeps me together There is no good without evil, but evil must not be allowed to flourish There is passion, yet emotion Serenity, yet peace Chaos, yet order I am the wielder of the flame, the protector of balance I am the holder of the torch, lighting the way I am the keeper of the flame, soldier of balance I am a guardian of balance I am a Grey Jedi..

What always confused be was that anikan was prophesied by the Jedi to bring balance to the force, which is what he did by joining the dark side, right? Why then was obi wan so angry. Why did he want balance if the jedi are so one sided to the 'light side"

  • @jrrizzy5579

@@sledge2742 just off the top of my head id say that the Jedi interpreted the prophecy more as bringing “peace” instead of “balance.” Like Anakin would lock away or destroy the dark side and help the light thrive or something along those lines. I feel like if they realized the force was largely weighed in their favor they may have seen the “chosen one” as a threat lol. Obi Wan though I think his anger stemmed more from the betrayal he felt and loss of a connection to his once apprentice and someone he loved like a brother.

That is why the sequels can't be cannon because it brakes the prophecy by bringing Palpatine back. The same goes for dark empire. @@grandadmiralthrawn3164 incorrect, Anakin brought balance to the force by destroying both the sith & jedi orders. their time as religious dogmatic regimes is over. its like having two blocked weights on a scale, when both are present they are in balance with one another. the problem is that there was way too many jedi, too few sith. so the force decided to eradicate both parties since destroying only one would leave an imbalance of power. no light & no dark= perfect balance. the death of the old orders allowed new ones untouched by old dogma's & grievances to grow.
