The Toyota Aristo: A Timeless Sleeper
The Toyota Aristo made its debut in Japan on Halloween of 1991, positioning itself as a luxury sedan to cater to customers seeking a premium experience. It filled the gap between the Chaser and Cresta models in Toyota's diverse dealer network, where the Aristo was sold through Toyota Auto and Toyota Vista showrooms. The first generation of the Aristo shared its platform with the V8-powered Crown Majesta, which had a distinct presence in Toyota's other dealerships under the "Toyota" brand. This positioning placed the Aristo between the iconic 6-cylinder Crown and the sub-Century flagship, the Celsior (known as the Lexus LS400 in some markets). The intricate structure of Toyota's Japanese dealer network accommodated the Aristo's role as a luxurious offering, ensuring it had its own unique identity and place within the brand's lineup.

    I have a JZS147 3.0V and it is the best car I've ever owned, although being 28 years old, it is showing small signs of wear and tear but still presents very well; looking to build it into a high HP street car in the future

    The Aristo caught my eye growing up. Many years later, after owning 2 MK4 Supras, an is200, and an is300. I finally settled for one. It’s a V300 161. Best of both platform less the Supra fanboys lol. I can finally go out for a drive without all the attention. People think it’s a Lexus 😂

    I have the base 93 gs300 model. Did a spark plug replacement and now my car shakes & there's coolant in the cylinders.. I don't want to junk it 😢

    Toyota sports was,is and never was the BEST!!! NISSAN Skyline proved that over and over again while Toyota TRIED to compete
