The Toxic Truth About Your Air Fryer (Safest Chemical Free Air Fryers)

Ойын-сауық

Your air fryer is toxic. I'm surprised nobody is talking about this. Most of them use a non stick teflon coating on the basket full of forever chemicals like PFAS, PFOA, PFOS. I was searching for teflon free ceramic air fryers but they also have lead and cadmium. The rabbit hole goes deep on this one. Safest material is glass, but there's still toxins in the heating element and the body like BPA plastic. I finally found the best air fryer, safest with least amount of chemicals. Salton Flip and Cook 2-in-1 Air Fryer & Grill AF2090.

I've use it consistently since i bought it a few months ago, and it is a lot easier to clean than the backet type air fryer i had before it. I got rid of the former, because the non stick started peeling and burnt on grease was impossible to remove. I also have a halogen whixh i use for bulk cooking. Stainless steal is much better and healthier for sure.

I’ve been hearing about aluminum being linked to Alzheimer’s for about 30 years now, but the more I think about it, the more I question it. I recently bought a small Italian espresso maker for the stovetop, the famed "moka pot" by Bialetti. I got a bit nervous when I found out it was made of aluminum, but when I started thinking about it, every household in Italy has a moka pot, that thing has been around since at least the 40s... Does anybody know if Italians have an increased incidence of Alzheimer’s in its population? Italians are amongst the healthiest and longest living people in Europe by the way, did you know that? Speaking of aluminum cooking wares, I don’t see Asian countries, where most of these aluminum pots and pans are made, using stainless steel instead. Sure they have iron woks, but everything else is aluminum I don’t even have to think about, I’m sure. Are these people dealing with an increase in Alzheimer’s cases? Most of these places are Blue Zone countries. Why would industry be using aluminum instead of stainless if aluminum is poison? Have you looked into the possibility of radioactivity in earthenware? Seems to me that would be a more serious problem.

I believe the aluminum link was debunked, Teflon though, can kill birds from the air fumes, and if a canary can survive a coal mine and not a Teflon pan heating up, you need a different pan. I use an instant pot with the stainless insert, use a convection toaster oven which are way better made than air fryers. Cast iron from my great grandma, who still drives and lives alone. Eat real food, something your great great great grandma would recognize and cook if you brought it to her. Eat meat, veg, and if you have to because you can't afford it and you're losing weight, some grains. Avoid sugar besides rare special occasions, and any weird stuff. Be physically active, often, above all else.

Would you consider sous vide? Your food is cooked slow in low heated water. Your steaks will be perfectly rare after cooking 129 F for 1 hour. Many people put their food in plastic ziploc bags or silicone bags. I cook in glass. It just has to be a glass container that won’t leak water onto your food.

Thanks for bursting my bubble. I was looking for one but I’m subscrbed so your videos come up first when I’m looking. Tonite your video came up and I changed my mind I wont get an air fryer. I really just wanted to make fried chicken. I hate the greasy mess on my stove but my family loves my chicken.

Most air fryers have stainless steel racks available on ebay so the food does not contact teflon surface.

Only glass is safe. Glass pot with glass lid in an oven. Most ceramic cookware isnt really ceramic. Cast iron may give you too much iron

I enjoyed watching your air fryer video. If you had just added one more line I think you would have broken the 10 minute mark. My suggestion for the next time you cook a steak in that thing: sprinkle some sea salt and pepper on the piece of meat and maybe try starting with high heat to sear the steak and lowering the heat a bit for the actual cooking. Anybody who knows anything about steak, please give my comment a like if I am on the right track.

Which is why I quit using my pressure cooker/air fryer a few weeks ago. I've only been using my cast iron dutch ovens/skillets with an induction cook top. I can practically cook all my steaks/bacon/pork chops etc just as fast or if not faster than any air fryer & same goes with the dutch oven.

I personally just cook all my grass fed and finished meats in stainless steel pans lol. I use to air fry long ago, but I stopped doing all that. Didn't notice a change in my health or how i FELT, so I doubt cooking in the pan with tallow is worse than air frying.
