Sorta liked it. We couldve been shown more w/o any security issues, but, it is what it is. What absolutely gobsmacked me, was his saying g'bye, and turning away, and walking off. In my day, when we had Visit Ship honors, we were in charge of our group, usually 4-10max, but that many was rare. Anyway, when it was time to depart, they were escorted from the ship, to the pier. This JO left these poor people alone, to figure out how to get to the top side ladder, that they came down on, and make their way across the brow, to the pier. While this may have been "In The Script", and there may have been someone who they were handed off to, it surely gave an unprofessional appearance, and left a hole as Big As Texas wrt security of the sub. Perhaps that Career JG shouldve had a set of orders cut to go TAD with the Zoomies in Alaska. Ok, Im finished with my rant. Y'all take care and be good to each other. Non qual, no dolphins. LTJG vs LT? The word submariner is pronounced SUB MA REENER, not SUB MARE ENER. A SUB mare ener indicates somethin below a Mariner. Even on the old diesels there were at least 3 heads(toilets). One in the forward torpedo room. One in the forward battery compartment, and one in the after torpedo room. The crew size was about 75/80, 23 years of boat life and I wish I could do it again, but they don't take 82 year old Sub ma reeners. One who served on submarines. It is called a boat, not a warship. How things have changed!

I see that EEO and Affirmative Action is alive and well in the Submarine Service. This puts our nation at risk, because the best MAN no longer gets the position/promotion.
@josephgladney4136
8 жыл бұрын
+papawx3 Having served with LTJG Lindsay I can attest that he is one of the best men you will ever find to serve onboard a boat. There is no EEO or Affirmative Action in the Submarine Service. On the boat everyone is required to tow the line. LTJG Lindsay worked hard to qualify in submarines and as a diver in the United States Navy and that hard work is what separates the submarine fleet of the United States Navy from other nations. It is because of men like him and the rest of that fine crew of the USS Texas SSN 775 that ensures the nation is not at risk. Lindsay was a member of the crew, a fine officer, a hard worker, an intelligent nuclear engineer, a warrior poet and I am proud to call him a brother of the fin. There is no race or ethnicity in the Submarine Service. You are either Qualified or you are not.
@papawx3
8 жыл бұрын
You are either delusional, or a lying SOB. Of course there IS EEO/Affirmative Action in The Silent Service. You know how I know? I WAS THERE. I watched in Sub school how they endlessly recycled "minorities" through over and over, and were finally passed through. I know for certain many did not pass the tests, because I personally saw instructors changing answers on the tests {August-October, 1979.}. They were told to do it by their superiors because too few were making the cut, and certain Congressmen were raising hell about it. So don't tell me I didn't see what I saw with my own eyes! I'm not saying they don't work hard once they are there, what I am saying is that there are two different sets of rules. One gets there because they belong, another gets there because vested interest makes sure they do, TAKE YOUR BS SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Doesn't matter. Doesn't change the fact that the nation's safety is being sacrificed on the altar of political correctness. Better hope those "smart weapons" work, because if it ever comes down to the men/women having to use their brains, were screwed!

Who do you think does all the actual work and get dirty instead of polishing their medals and making promotional videos?
they would get the black guy to host the tour
Moronically said, "SUB MAR IN ER". In the US it's "SUBMARINE ER"
Hmm..... GuessI will join to truly find out
0:35 Pizza Time
Guess they let nubs give tours on the texas lol
1 head for 13 officers? Damn being a JO sucks.
lobster all my ass spaghetti and lasagna all day long
I respect what they do, but too claustrophobic for me!!
He does not SOUND like a JG to me.
I see that EEO and Affirmative Action is alive and well in the Submarine Service. This puts our nation at risk, because the best MAN no longer gets the position/promotion.

I notice he's not wearing dolphins. Shouldn't this nub LTJG be studying instead of making KZread videos?
No urinal in the Office's Head? Deference to women serving? lol
Is a non-qual giving the tour? Lmao, I was damn glad when I finally got my dolphins...
I don't know if you knew his but our country is drowning in debt. We don't have any money to spend. So like I said. Dock it and don't do shit.

John, you're still a moron and a jerk. And a TROLL!
Can you say propaganda. Makes it sound like a cruise.

Ya it’s propaganda, but it does give a little bit of a view into the navy, but I imagine all the not so great bits probably aren’t here
Cannot believe that an officer of the US Navy still hasn't learnt to speak properly. Not a tone of professionalism in his voice, still sounds as if he is in the ghetto. PS. Speaking from experience, compared to Aussie Navy the US Navys food is crap.

If you believe this officer is speaking like he is in the ghetto it clear you never been to the ghetto.
their life as navy :)
