When it rains the eye sight goes out .....when you need it most. What I like most is the ride and the headlights.

I agree completely about the front and back cameras. It's shameful that Subaru put cameras that haven't been state of the art for nearly 20 years in their top tier Subarus. Hopefully Subaru will offer dealer installed high resolution cameras soon at their dealerships for those of us who would like to upgrade to a better resolution camera. About the performance of the 2.4 turbo engine......... It's actually a pretty quick car for an SUV. 5.7 to 5.9 second 0-60 isn't bad at all for this car. However, it often doesn't feel nearly as quick as it actually is. The problem is the CVT transmission. It's unpredictable. Sometimes you step on it and it feels like a conventional automatic. Other times it feels like a CVT. You can step on it from a slow speed and you feel what seems to be taking forever to hit 45 miles per hour and shift into second or third gear, but then you look at the speedometer and you're already past 70 miles per hour. Hitting the quarter mile in 14.5 to 14.6 seconds isn't bad at all for this Outback, but the problem is, it rarely feels as quick as it really is. I will say, that once you get used to it, you start to understand, and you have a better impression of it's acceleration. For me it took about a month.

Turn off VDC to get more consistent 0-60. Subaru takes into account how you are driving and that is part of the formula. Once you start driving more aggressive it starts to perform more aggressive, but if you are just chilling and all of a sudden hit the throttle it waits a second or two as it is not fitting your driving style at the moment. VDC takes the driver into account that I find very interesting. I also agree with you in how it feels, you think you are doing 30 and you are already at 80. Still have not gotten used to it, it's only been less than 2 weeks so I have a few weeks more to go. But damn she is quick! I have a Forester XT this is quicker and faster and more refined in every way!

One more thing turn off auto start stop and auto break hold! If you have auto start stop you have to wait engine to start, and if you have auto break hold it will hold the breaks until it sees enough pressure on the throttle before it releases the break and finally give you throttle response. All these shave of time to 0-60!

If you down shift, it's an altogether different ball game. 0-60 in 5.9, is no a dog.

Does anyone knows if it comes with privacy of all data collected (including biometric data and GPS) or is this data sold to data brokers? Thanks for the video, very helpful for research!

Well, I’m old, but I like sport mode. I’m going to do a test drive in an Ascent in the next couple of weeks, and my current ride has a v6 with a 6 Sp auto, and if you put the pedal down, it goes. So we’ll see how the test drive goes.

There is no car in history that is perfect. I own a 2020 Hellcat Redeye and i am done with 93 octane gas. My wife has a 2023 Crosstrek and i love it. 87 octane and very smooth on the road.

Does anyone have a supercharged four cylinder that will not have a slight lag? I have test drove a few and a small engine with turbo equals an initial delay. You can drop another 20K or more if the delay bothers you. Jump up to a mid size with a six banger and turbo and you have no delay but then you have no money to go anywhere also.
