Excellent analysis Luke. I love the ejection of some youthful standards with the baseball cap I will add to my wardrobe.

Thanks mate! Let us know how it goes
Absolutely loved the pics from this year's pitti. Also loved seeing the ties and DB jackets. Great inspiration all around.

Some really nice looks here and I love baseball caps with tailoring especially DB jackets

All the baseball caps ruining the looks. Why does everyone want to look like an American? It’s a complete mystery to me.

@@albertsmyth9616 just be happy they're not cowboy hats 😆
Thank you for the excellent overview and smart commentary. I’m glad to hear that ties are coming back, especially ties from the 80s. Baseball caps, are definitely an acquired taste. I have been wearing them for the last 9 years since “retiring” from the U.S. Marine Corps. I’m a CMO now, who wears suits, sports coats, and business casual attire to work. I don’t wear ball caps when I’m working, but as soon as I get home and put on casual clothes, I pick a cap and go with it. My favorite caps 🧢 today are RRL, RL and Carthartt (the dark Navy Blue one James Bond wore in Never Say Die 🎉

Thanks Diego!
I don't listen to anyone wearing a baseball cap! Well... I may do, but it's a massive barrier. 👀😎

I get the barrier, was definitely there but I’ve softened on it massively

It’s that 90s, ALD, Drakes type vibe that is slowly taking over. I like it but it will pass
I personally do not like ball caps with any type of outfit outside of work or play or the most casual of outfits. I am in my sixties, which I'm sure influences my attitude towards them, but the examples shown were of at least middle aged men. I feel they're on the same fashion plane as distressed clothing and sneakers.
Definitely some great outfit ideas from this years Pitti 👌 but personally I’m not a fan of caps and sandals with dressier outfits 😅 I just don’t think it works or look good.

Fair! It’s not for everyone and definitely took me some time to come around to the idea

I agree, to me if you're dressing well it's like slapping comedy stickers to the back of a Bentley. Caps I feel belong with streetwear, which is a style I'm aware many people enjoy, but it's not something I appreciate.
Another reason subbed, i really like your content. But you definitely need to make a small introduction of what you wear each time - it is always a fun segment. Keep doing what you are doing :)

Thanks! I will try to in future!
I wear cap when I don’t want to talk to people or when my face is full of acne 😂…. I’m very confused about this Pitti style …
Your double pocket shirt is brilliant. Where is it from?

The caps work to a degree in Europe, bc they are somewhat ironic. In the states they are so ubiquitous they do not really.

I wouldn’t say they’re worn ironically but I get that they’re more prevalent in the US. I just feel they’re becoming almost unnoticeable which is exactly what you want from a hat imo

They are ironic in that they have no shared history with fine tailoring. They were not born from utility and evolved into timeless fashion. They come from a completely different place and are here juxtaposed. That’s why no one was doing it some years ago, and likely no one will be doing it in a few years time. I think they will continue to get popular until there’s a backlash and they go away. Let’s revisit in 3 years. ;) Fantastic channel.

I think that’s a fair assessment. I’d normally associate things that are worn ironically as a bit of a gimmick, whereas I feel caps are going more understated than they have previously (and there aren’t many good hat alternatives) but what you say is very true. I hope not, but 3 years could be generous 🤣

It’s going to fail way more often then it succeeds not worth the risk
Yes, a baseball cap works with everything! And injects some youthful vibe.
Video idea: What are the different ways you should dress to someone elses graduation / formal event without 'maybe' drawing all the attention to yourself?
Great stuff as always Luke! You’ve a loyal audience. But it feels like it should be bigger….have you considered paying someone to boost your reach? Not trying to sell you….its not my area.

Thanks! Not that I have any idea what I’m doing but I like the organic approach atm 😂
Love the content but you've got to ditch the muzak in the background. The audio equivalent of a Shein polyester shirt

Gotta agree with you! The music sits way too loud in the mix. Makes listening to the words more difficult than it needs to be.
