Regarding Addison "as far as a landing spot I would love for him to go somewhere like Minnesota".

I remember 2019 was considered a weak class as well. So we got pretty good receivers drafted in day 2 (DK, AJ, Deebo, Terry). DK was the most hyped of the group, but also hated because of some absurd narrative "he can't run routes". N'keal Harry was supposed to be the best prospect and was the ultimate bust.

Game speed and combine speed differ for certain athletes. A lot of the case in most times. Adrenaline and game speed can even be faster

While I don't think the ceiling is as high as any of these guys I'm really high on jayden reed in this draft. Solid size, solid speed, great hands, and elite return ability gives him a super high floor. I think he'll be a great addition to whoever adds him

Reed was a horse for Michigan State. Killer work ethic, lives & breathes football, does nothin but workout in off-season. He's gonna be a great value wherever he goes & a huge asset to somebody's receiver room.

If the only concern with a prospect is their straight line speed then i think you have a damn good receiver. You know who else had speed concerns coming into the NFL? Devante adams, D Hop, Cooper Kupp etc yet they managed to succeed just fine. I don't get all the Jordan Addison hype personally, dude weighed in a popeyes biscuit over 170, hes almost 3 inches taller than Zay flowers but he's 10 Lbs lighter? That's a concern. Quentin Johnston running limited routes and not playing to physical ability? Teachable but a concern. Zay flowers not having much tape against anything resembling elite players? Concern, but not deal breaking. JSN is clearly the WR1 this class and any other narrative that they throw out is just people trying to generate attention for hot takes.

Hyatt on the chargers would be amazing . Keenan allen is considered top 3 route runners by many nfl receivers ( Jamar Chase, Travis Kelce etc) So he can teach Hyatt some skills like he taught josh Palmer and mike Williams . Also josh Palmer went to the same school as Hyatt so they may already be cool with each other.

With how complex college offenses are getting, receivers are coming out better prepared for the league than in years past. That also means that more later round picks are becoming good number 2 and slot receivers.

Quentin Johnston looks like his ceiling is a high end WR2. He’s not as physical as you’d want for someone his size and his route running doesn’t look very polished imo. I hope he does well tho. On another note, Jonathan Mingo from Ole Miss looks like he could be AJ Brown 2.0

Last years wr class was so much better. I think the only reason jsn was good in 2021 was because he had Garett Wilson and Chris Olave who took most of the coverage off of him. We also don’t know if he can transition to an outside receiver as he only played slot in college. If he gets picked higher than Wilson or Olave I’ll be shocked.

What does that have to with how good he is as a route runner? He can beat press coverage makes tough catches and considering Garrett had 1K and Olave jus about has 1k that makes no sense to say he only good because he alongside good

Quinton Johnson acceleration and size is elite even tho it might be a 3 route randy outside The #s sideline Wr ability is rare unique and special. It demands top cb attention and possibly saftey help . He may not be anything else but he doesn't need to be its elite its worked for Hopkins and Calvin Johnson. He played with a middle of the road college qb in max of course he has drops. Of course he waits on the ball to hit his tub. He still proved it dont matter hes the best x wide out here and now grown man.

Think JSN to the jets is a real possibility that nobody's talking about with OBJ off the table. They really need another receiver after trading Moore to Cleveland. You've also got the garrett wilson OSU connection there for whatever that's worth.

JSN also benefited from having first round receiving talent that defenses had to also prioritize and, no disrespect meant to JSN, MHJ was more the focus of that offense last year and Olave the year before. Not saying he’s awful of course. Just food for thought

literally not one impressive highlight on Hyatt...if he had run a 4.2 at the Combine, then I'd consider overlooking his tape, but...he didn't. Addison looks and times SLOW. QJ's best hope is to be passed over in Rd1 and play with a chip on his shoulder...maybe it will even motivate him to learn how to catch footballs with his hands. Flowers is a solid Rd2 receiver and JSN maybe should sneak into Rd1. Overall, the worst WR class in recent memory.
