I hate that set because Riddles robbed us of a reset that Skyjay had smh smh Writing the script for Collision 2023 recap I just can’t get over the fact that the grands reset would’ve been cinema regardless who’d win in the end

I don't ever see anybody talk about it but VoiD vs Sparg0 at Smash Ultimate Summit 6 is probably this game's best set to happen in the post quarantine era. The old guard vs. the crown Prince in a Sheik vs Cloud matchup that nobody thought would go anywhere near as hard as it did.

Sonix vs Ddee not on here is a crime. Seeing Sonix losing via time out then rage quitting is probably my favorite moment in the past year

Haha the set was so slow it was a real pain to watch , and even though I'm not the biggest fan of watching Sonix because of his game style, having watched his interviews made me actually like this guy who's a hard worker, modest and always pushing himself further up even after winning

@@ThugtheGanon yeah, samesies! I’ve come to really respect Sonic, if I don’t enjoy his games I appreciate that the hardest worker is getting rewarded. And it’s satisfying when my fave goats overcome him.

Excellent collection of sets! Light/Leo Genesis is in my top 5, Nairo Ganon is too classic! Its too slow for most but Gluto reverse 3-0 Ken is a favorite of mine. Great movie, thanks for stroll down smash memory lane!

Lea vs goblin set is a based pick. Super intense

Collision 2019 was my first major, and nairo was my favorite player. Seeing that set against Light live was such an awesome memory

this may be a much newer set but sonix vs light in gf this past lvl up expo was amazing ngl my set of the year so far. Also cosmos vs dabuz at glitch where cosmos reverse 3-0’s dabuz with corrin was really cool too.

Right!! Sonix vs Light was amazing and we had been waiting for this one for a long time since Sonix has improved quite a lot since the rematch! I completely missed Cosmos vs Dabuz, thanks for this one!

I would have Genesis 7 Marss vs MkLeo GF somewhere on the list. That to me was peak Smash Ultimate.

for me it's gotta be tweek vs leo at summit 5. it felt like their entire set history pre and post quarantine culminated in that set with tweek preventing the reverse 3-0 in one of the most heart racing game 5 sets in ult. and to top it off, it being in losers round 2 for top 8 signified another step into the new meta that was setting in.

I was rooting for Leo to win Evo, and it was extremely hype at the moment of the bracket reset, but the second set ended up being very underwhelming to me. We basically watched Tweek lose six consecutive games, and he seemed to get more and more reckless with each passing game, dropping from and regrabbing ledge without a safety plan against Joker’s options, going for broke with wild moves offstage without being able to recover, etc. There was a while when I was very hyped, but it died down pretty quickly and I don’t care to rewatch it all that much like I do the others on this list.

I'd say, based on the size of the event, and from the Tweek of that time, that it was mostly a mental strength fight. I kinda feel the same about the second set, but still put it here because it's probably the most famous set of Ultimate

Good to mention this one! I had even forgotten about it because of the covid period, Shuton's quite an impressive player! I wanted to add a bonus part for the set of Tweek vs Glutonny at the Grands of Tera 2023 (the ending was insane), but the montage had already reached 20 minutes, I might make a part 2 haha

The leo light set wasn't even epic imo. It was kinda heart breaking.
