    Another one is the “gun opening” where you take out a gun (usually a pistol for mp5) and threaten your opponent and tell them to resign or you will shoot. It’s pretty aggressive if you ask me.

    Not really, the king's gambit has a lot of theory thus making it not very beginner-friendly, it is one of the oldest chess openings that was very popular during the 1800s as many black players did not know how play against it. Nowadays, it is very outdated and black is considered better by most players after the 3. Exf4. I will admit that the king's gambit is one of the funnest openings to play and often ends in very sacrificial and spectacular games.

    -Stockfish- Alphazero loves d4 openings such as the queen's gambit or stuff like the English, but hates the king's gambit, and in real life as soon as you meet a decent player they will shred you, since they know the declined variation, and if you don't know it to the last move you finna be dead, so for aggression you have to know the gambit to perfection

    Learn tactics. If you study openings you only get so far. Check out Chess Vibes and Remote Chess academy, they give you the best content for free about tactics, calculation and strategies. I'm at a level where I usually get into Endgames, so you might wanna study those too. If you want some simple openings for white and black, here are my recommendations: *White*: London System/Queens Gambit (Both are Great and simple, plus you don't need to learn anything else for white) *Black*: Against e4: Caro Kann (only from Chesspage1) Against d4: Kings indian Defense Setup (Also only from Chesspage1) You might ask who this Chesspage1 guy is, well he is a great KZreadr who makes simple and great Videos. *Sharper Openings*: White: Halloween gambit, Fried Liver Attack Black: Against e4: French Defense Against d4:Dutch Defense *Disclaimer* Only use The Sharper openings when you Get Better at chess (Intermediate-Advanced) You might not wanna start playing the Dutch when you can't use Harder tactics. Have Fun!

    The thing is that defending all the time is not gonna lead you to wins. You can lock positions and make draws trying to defend, but you'll never improve that way because attacking is always a part of the game, even in the opening some call "boring" (you can play pretty aggressive and exciting games with the London like, for example, Alex Banzea does). At some moment, you will definitely need to learn how to attack.

    The Cochrane gambit just loses, play d4 instead of Nxe5 if you wanna be aggressive. Also engine says -1, not equal. This dude thinks aggressive means the opening has to give black at least a +1 advantage. Play the scotch, do things that aren't terrible. And the line of the kings gambit suggested loses on the spot, especially if the queen just moves to f5 after d4.

  • @Gwennbleidd_Chess

    @Gwennbleidd_Chess

    5 ай бұрын

    Advantage in the opening mostly doesn't mean anything (especially if you're a beginner). You know there's one very advanced concept called initiative. Sometimes to gain winning initiative, you need to create imbalance, and this is exactly what gambits do, you need to understand this. For example, in many grandmaster games you can see GMs sacrifice material or pawn structure or trading their bishop for a knight in an endgame etc. - this is a very efficient way to create imbalance, create for yourself chances to lose in order to have chances to win.

  • @blades9937

    @blades9937

    5 ай бұрын

    @@Gwennbleidd_Chess Yes but it is double edged, I don't believe a beginner will know how to use that initiative or how to use the position, its much easier to defend these positions than attack.
