Not even just the draft. They need MLB more easily available on TV. I don’t even get any games on TV anymore. If I pay for MLB TV, I don’t even get my favorite team most of the time.

Wyatt Langford was built for the Texas Rangers. In a couple years, him and Evan Carter are gone be so fun to watch in the outfield

Going to the draft was amazing! Every time manfred came out it was BOOS all around! Walking out of lumien field to the exits u could still hear fans watching the rest of the draft BOOING loudly in the distance!! Man he’s sure getting it today lol. Also when the fans in the bleachers were yelling sell the team there were two huge groups chanting it!

As a tigers fan, I'm happy to have Clark. It's not like he was some bum in high school. The kid had crazy good numbers and I don't see anyone giving this kid any credit. Especially his senior year. He has a lot of upside and seems like a very humble kid. Last high school hitter has panned out pretty well so far for the tigers and his name is Riley Greene incase people have forgotten. Until any of these dudes touch a big league field, the book is still out. Prospects are prospects.

@@Anthony-bx5yk Tigers also need to stay healthy in order to be competitive. A lot of the players that were supposed to help this club advance have all been hurt or just haven't hit full strides yet. That's been the biggest issue. Now they're starting to get a bit healthier for the second half, so we'll see. I like the pirates squad. They have some good young talent.

@@johnnyramirez. I’m sure of it, but Joe Mauer was the last prep catcher to have success in the MLB. Every other prep catcher has either failed to make it to the Majors or only played a handful of Major League games

Pirates fan here! Woulda been happy with any of Skenes, Crews, or Langford. All 3 (heck even the Tigers with Clark) won this draft for sure. You Reds fans too, if you didn't watch the LSU vs. Wake Forest game a few weeks ago in the college world series, Rhett Lowder is a DAWG. I can't wait for the Elly De La Cruz / Oneil Cruz and Paul Skenes / Rhett Lowder matchups!!!!!!!!

Its not the same as nba, NHL or NFL when it comes to media, fan attention even production wise it's just catching up. The other leagues prospects are just l much easier to follow, as it gets more media attention, it gets more prospect hyping, gets all year around coverage and tend to be talked and written about more with rankings, ratings, scouting reports etc. Also find more fan related coverage with the other sports with mocks and what not. The three other leagues also have years of combines history that fans care about. They also have lotteries that keeps fans engaged all year and almost daily debates of who will go number 1. MLB just recently started to do all those things. It's also well known and quite talked about for a while how mlb is probably the worst at promoting its young prospects and players. We barely hear of them until they are in the league making waves which tend to be at an older age then the others. Mlb are getting better with it all but still quite behind others. It's also easier to find and watch the other leagues prospects on TV if your a prospects followers. Then the fact that mlb has 20 rounds which use to be 40 makes it hard to keep up with all the eligible draftees. That's 600 prospects each year compared to nba 60+, NHL 200+, NFL 200+ so it could be quite the hobby. Mlb also has different sets of criteria for drafting that can confuse the new prospects followers. It has different sets of eligibility for kids in junior /community college, 4 year college and high school. They also have drafts within the draft called the CBP and a rule 5 draft later in the year. Plus they don't do pick trades other then exceptions. Draft day trades and pick traded keeps fans more attached to prospects they can have. Draft Trades keeps fans engaged more and more incentive to look up players more all year around too. Then you have international prospects that don't get drafted at all. Who has their own sets of rules and eligibility and ways to obtain. So yeah its much harder to follow these baseball kids if you're not to deep into prospect following. I also believe mlb just started to focus more on its draft with TV coverage, combines, scouting reports, using ex players, bringing in prospect for showing etc. Pretty sure even broadcasting and dedicated shows of the draft is quite new vs the other leagues. So yeah if your new to it all mlb will be the hardest to follow and keep up with but if you have a favourite team then I recommend starting with your teams top prospect first, where they pick and who is in that range as that will keep things easier to consume and keep up with. You also won't find the draft prospect hypes that you do with the other sports but it's still fun and once in a while and you do get the harper's and Strasburg to look forward too when they show up. Anyways writing more then I expected so I'll finish it all with just have fun with it. You will find yourself learning alot and getting into plenty of prospect debates thats for sure. I'm a prospect followers and for me baseball is the hardest again it's getting better.

I wasn’t thrilled at first but it made more sense the more I thought about it The org’s strongsuit is developing pitchers, so it makes more sense to develop and possibly flip those assets for hitters if they need to, as opposed to likely fail at bringing up hitters themselves.

The reason the mlb draft doesn't have the same pull as the NBA and NFL is because most of the good players are playing outside the country, Look at the recent allstar all of the well known best players came outside the country

The first two picks were both from LSU and they had the coach on site to give comments, therefore he could speak to their personality off the field and he did. The third pick wasn't from LSU.

MLB continues to be mad racist not even 1 minority was chosen in the top ten overall draft. I find so strange that all top ten drafted are white when Latin players are the best in MLB. No wonder I never made it to the big leagues. No wonder there are hardly any latin hall of famers. This is really shameful.

That’s not an issue in baseball. They simply drafted the best guys available with those first picks. A ton of players in mlb that are the best are minorities. I mean half the league if not more are minorities They aren’t going to blindly draft someone with their first pick based on ethnicity. They are drafting the best talent available
