There is a distinct difference between fit and "work fit", where you have the ability to handle your work demands day in and day out. You don't really notice it until you have a long break from your regular work schedule and the recent lockdowns provide an excellent example of this suddenly stopping work and then returning to work several weeks or months later and your body has lost work conditioning.

It’s not this is just based off of product sales and everybody loves cheap… my company runs an entire fleet of cats and they are the absolute top of the line

@@bigteddy66 please tell me what is better… I’ve operated Komatsu, link belt, sany, kubota, Bobcat, hyundai, Volvo, John deere, doosan, daewoo and in all of my 15 years of operatin caterpillar has had the best machines, the best performance, longevity, hydraulic power, swing torque and cats maintenance is much more in tune with that your machine needs not what you tell them

@@bigteddy66 we actually have 2 JCB wheeled loaders and 5 cats…. We never bring the jcbs out because they can’t compete with our cats 🤷🏻‍♂️

It's funny that the backhoe is number one because the backhoe is like a Swiss army knife I can do a lot of stuff but not very well

Barely see a JCB backhoe in North America. But in NA, the backhoe has largely been replaced by the mini excavator anyways. So certainly not number 1

Exactly. Backhoes are the machine that is capable of performing in all application, but they are the worst machine in all of those applications. They're too big to outperform a skid steer. They're too small to stand up to a loader. They're too big and cumbersome to take the place of a mini. Just the worst of all worlds.

The JCB is the biggest POS i have ever run and i have been running heavy equip. For 35 years. Cat is the best in almost every category. Cat is the Cadillac of heavy equip.

I agree on the JCB part of your answer but CAT is not any better than Volvo or Komatsu. I have operated them all, only brand I haven't used is Doosan. And for backhoes, Huddig is no.1 hands down.

I love machines and this video offers a great look at some of the equipment I have worked with during my career, unfortunately some of the comments by the, so called, experts is full of questionable facts and somewhat inane..

The Diesel engine was so important for the construction of the Society we have now. Wonder what technology going to replace it. Many point out Hydrogen ICE, or Fuel Cells. Hauling around a massive battery pack isn't the short term answer.

The Chairman of JCB was of the opinion that batteries were suitable for the smaller mini diggers and the like, but for larger machines hydrogen fuel was the most efficient option.

Liebherr besides making enormous mining equipment, cranes and industrial refrigeration they also make the finest domestic fridges in the world. Not cheap but if one breaks down (it won't) during it's 10 year warranty Liebherr will send out one of their engineers to fix it.

I visited the Hambach excavation pits (and several other pits more to the east in the time that communist Germany still existed) in the eighties of the 20th century in order to collect fossil land snail species of Pliocene and early Pleistocene age. The machines were huge and the shells were very difficult to collect. The shells were much more interesting than their machinery.

Why are they digging up coal and sending it all over the place to power stations? Why don't they just put the generators on top of the coal and ship the power out by wire? There ought to be an answer in two lines of arithmetic. We'll wait: Puh-leeze.

Only 10 mins in and it has become very clear this lot of vegetables are going to very biased vote the winner the very simple JCB as the winner......yawn...brown envelopes much???....

@Steven Seagull Liebherr who are mentioned twice here also make a full range of domestic fridges and freezers. If they break down Liebherr will send one of their engineers round to fix it.

A loader is NOT a digger. Should'nt be on list, just my opinion..........

How do to think it loads it's bucket?......maybe by DIGGING into a heap or pile? Yes it is a loader but it also digs,also an excavator is a digga but it also loads,so is also a loader.........I'm a 25 year heavy plant operator having operatorated most types of excavator and loaders........many thanks

How childish showing the Komatsu reversing over the pickup truck, that pickup truck is made from tin that is about the same as what you will find in a bean can and squashing it is is childish, it is a poor way to show the weight or power of the komatsu, a Tonka toy would probably do the same, childish.

Very old video, I worked for Sureway, at the time this video was made, Sureway was a much better organization, today, people suck holin' to higher ups and stabbin' each other in the back. Not the same company, just the name stayed the same.
