Well, what a pleasant surprise this was! 2019 was quite the mindblowing year, and there were almost too many films I loved. I especially loved Little Women, 1917, The Irishman, Jojo Rabbit, Sound Of Metal, Uncut Gems, Marriage Story, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, Portrait Of A Lady On Fire, The Irishman and ESPECIALLY Parasite. Great list for a great year. Cheers!

One unique feature of 2019 in film was the release of two genuinely entertaining and engaging faith-based films-- Risen (Joseph Fiennes) and The Shack (Octavia Spenser.) Though they don't rate as BEST, they are noteworthy additions to a tired and cliched genre. Once again, thanks for reviewing the films that don't get much press where I'm from. We'll definitely check out The Private Life of David Copperfield.

Dunno what I can add, as I've only seen one of these films (Jojo Rabbit) but have most of them available on Blu-ray or streaming. But one film from 2019 that I really enjoyed was Alita: Battle Angel, because it was such a great live-action from anime/manga production. One of the very best. Otherwise, Weathering With You, 1917, Knives Out, and The Lighthouse were also great movies.

2019 is one of the best years in history. Along with other years such as 1962 or 1940 ... And it is not that in 2019 there will be an immense number of masterpieces, but because there are a lot of films of remarkable quality. Many. So many that, by accumulation, they make 2019 one of the most interesting years in history. Of your list (which is not a bad list) there are three that I would not have put, but it is not that it is a bad list. I'm going to make you two lists. One of the movies that I'm sure you know, and if you haven't included it, it's simply a matter of personal taste ... (and if you haven't seen any of this list ... run) And another list of movies that you probably have not seen, since they are not American, and therefore, some do not reach you ... there is also some international success in this list, so surely they will not all be unknown to you. But I'm sure that more than one of this list you don't even know, and if you see them, you would have to change your top. From the first list ... the ones you surely know (although you may be missing some to see) Knives Out by Rian Johnson 1917 by Sam Mendes Joker by Todd Phillips Midsommar by Ari Aster Ad Astra by James Gray Little Women by Greta Gerwig Ford v Ferrari by James Mangold Uncut Gems by Benny Safdie, Josh Safdie The Lighthouse Robert Eggers Avengers: Endgame by Anthony Russo, Joe Russo The Lighthouse by Robert Eggers Sound of Metal by Darius Marder The Vast of Night by Andrew Patterson The Gentlemen by Guy Ritchie Us by Jordan Peele Booksmart by Olivia Wilde Saint Maud by Rose Glass Portrait de la jeune fille en feu by Céline Sciamma Klaus by Sergio Pablos, Carlos Martínez López Those or they had an international distribution and you have surely seen them all And then there is this second list that, although some have had international distribution, they are not so famous, but surely they would make you change the top ... Il traditore Marco Bellocchio (Italiy) El hoyo Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia (Spain) Monos Alejandro Landes (Colombia) Systemsprenger Nora Fingscheidt (Germany) Di Jiu Tian Chang Xiaoshuai Wang (China) J'ai perdu mon corps Jérémy Clapin (France) Les misérables Ladj Ly (France) Tenki no ko Makoto Shinkai (Japan) Quien a hierro mata Paco Plaza (Spain) Martin Eden Pietro Marcello (Italy) I am lazy to look for what was the English title with which it was marketed in the Anglo-Saxon market ... I put its original title ... But you should see them ... all of them

I did not get to the Movies much, caught most of the releases on DVD. Most of the releases did not impress me. a few exceptions 1 1917 saved the year, a brilliant tour de force 2 MidSommor lived up to the expectations. some truly eerie details,. 3 Ready or Not. Surprised me. I was not expecting a comedy. This one left me laughing. and rooting for the underdog . 4 Color Out of Space. Lovecraft fan's will relate. 5 The Lighthouse was beautifully shot, edited, acted and realized, I just did not like the story 6 Avengers 4, Perhaps the last movie I saw in a theater before everything hit, I found this one surprisingly moving. good way to say goodbye to the big screen for a while. 7 How to Train your Dragon 3. A good end to a nice franchise.

Is anyone gonna talk about El Camino a Breaking Bad movie? That was easily the best written movie of the year. The Irishman was close but El Camino just had to live up to so much and in my opinion it did. The villains whilst nothing to special were cruel and unlikeable. Aaron Paul and Jesse Plemons acting was some of the best I've ever seen. Not to mention the flashback scenes were fantastic and so well shot. Jesse Pinkman is at least in my opinion the greatest performance of all time, not even Daniel Day Lewis can top the unbelievable emotions conveyed by Aaron Paul, not to mention how much character development he got from the series and we finally see Jesse in his prime. A movie that will be forever underrated and forever a masterpiece

Good New Year, The first half hour of "JoJo Rabbit" was good, then it slumped. "My Fuhrer" (2007) was a better movie with lots of jokes that came back in "JoJo Rabbit". Keep it up, cheers!

Parasite is the most overrated movie in cinema history, and the differences between class on this planet is even worse than ever, And although parasite poses as a commentary, it actually contributes to the problem, there was a time when filmmakers and critics actually did help evolve culture to a higher common denominator, but that’s completely gone now, I’m guessing alcohol has something to do with it, also you like to drop your one-sided political slant, which lacks the open-mindedness and brave ability that cinema language used to be capable of, that’s a big reason why most everything today is so temporary and disposable, other than that, I do find a lot of your choices and humorous connectings fun and interesting 😜
