I'm listening to this now because, in my hoodie pocket, the electrostatic foil of a York peppermint pattie rubbed my phone just right, twice! Thank you sentient candy foil!

Hey Ian, I just want to say that this is absolutely my favorite channel on KZread. I listen to these stories almost every night, and I applaud you for the standard of content that you create. I myself have been wanting to write a short story, and I’m in the process of coming up with a beginning. I have already written the climax, but the rest of the story is what I need to work on. Maybe one day once I’m finished I could send you a draft for you to read on the channel.

Excellent! Very good! I've heard this story narrated before but it pales in comparison to your rendition. Thank you Mr. Gordon and Horror Babble. Excellent as always. Until next time.

And now I can wind down for the evening with your soothing voice. Thanks Ian!
Awesome! Can't wait to make time to listen to it later tonight! CHEERS!
I'm queuing this up right now. I'm always happy to see a new reading added to the channel. As someone who aspires to use his own voice professionally, you are an inspiration.
This is a beautiful narration. I hope more are like this on this channel!
Been looking forward to you doing this one
I think I've listened to this four times now since yesterday. 👌😁
Perfection
Love the cover picture!! Now to sit back, relax, and enjoy! Edit: 4:47 "And few care to brave the depressing shadows which seem to linger strangely about the water worn stones"! Only you Ian can do Lovecraft writings justice!!!
I have listened to other Lovecraft stories on H B , I must tell say , you did this one really good , Bravo :)
Another amazing Lovecraft reading! Recently began diving into his literature and am now heavily intrigued since listening to your reading of "The Alchemist." He truly knew how to draw a reader into a tale and capture the scenes with rich vivid and eerie details.
To night I closed my eyes and picked up a story deep down in the dark back log. This one I recognised so I must have read it before.
That poem is awesome!
Love this one!
Yeeeessss!! Back at it with the one and only master of intellectual horror...LOVECRAFT! Time to make Cajun seasoned sausage balls and potato candy....and a 10 cup dark roux!😄

Please share, what is potato candy? Sounds like something my Polish grandmother would give me! LOLz
@tikkidaddy

@@blowitoutyourcunt7675 Oh its very very simple...I'd be glad. A large peeled boiled potato, 6 cups confectioners sugar with a bit more for rolling out. Peanut butter, and a 1/4 tsp. Vanilla., a splash of milk just in case.... Mash the 6 cups confectioners sugar, vanilla, and potato together into a sort of dough...if it's a bit too dry add a dab of milk, too wet...more sugar...roll out into 1/4 inch sheet on a cold sugared surface. Spread nut butter of choice over the dough...and roll up into a small log. Refrigerate till cold and slice😃! Peanut butter pinwheel candy...keep cool for best consistency. It's an old Southern US recipe I learned from my Cherokee grandmother by adoption. I imagine it was passed on from someone of Polish or German ancestry..now that you mention it...makes sense. Polish Vodka is the best after all. Enjoy! Happy Holidays all!

I bet Ian never thought we would have a HORRORBABBLERS cooking thread😄😄😄😎😎 These readings work very well when you spend a day in the kitchen. The sausage ball thing is a Bisquick recipe commonly available but we SPICE dat up. A good dark roux is the base for many a good Cajun and Creole recipe....

@@tikkidaddy dark, red or blond, roux is the solid base that cooking is built upon! Sweet potato and chocolate tarts was the latest treat I dished out for the fam. I got one. :( Was a chef for 25 yrs before I started farming rice. But my kids think I'm still their personal culinary slave and keep me chained to the wolf as long as possible! 😂
Excellent story
I wrote a short story very similar. Though not as strong as HP.

Hey ian i was hopeing you could help me find some older readings on your . The old coat i beileve is one and the other involves a man returning to a town at his deceased fathers request to visit family only to find it corrupted by the mythos. I was just wondering if you'd taken them down to redo them or if i over looked them, thank you

Hi Wyatt - The Coat is now on Bandcamp only: horrorbabble.bandcamp.com/album/the-coat As for the other... I can't quite put my finger on which story you might be referring to. It's likely to be on Bandcamp though if you have a look through the titles there: horrorbabble.bandcamp.com/audio Several of these readings were removed from YT due to potential copyright issues.
Please tell me you're planning on doing a horror Christmas novella for the holidays 😀🎄☃️
