I played Titanfall 2 over the weekend on PS4/5, and despite there being only around 1,000 people playing, I managed to get into multiple games in a row and had an absolute blast! We can still hope for Titanfall 3, but knowing EA, it's never gonna happen 😢

I heard some news about the hacker issues getting solved by an update and it seems te be true, so I think the multiplayer issue is solved. The game saw a spike in player count around that time idk if its still going on tho.

Me who plays tf|2 and tf2: looks like we're in the same boat now. Welcome to the team Edit: I think you forgot to mention that the hacker (yes I'm pretty sure it was a single person) took down the Titanfall 1 and Titanfall 2 servers for years. EA and respawn did absolutely nothing until apex was attacked, and there was even some speculation that some tf2 fans themselves attacked apex to bring attention to their game. During the time the servers were down, Titanfall 1 was taken off of the market, but Titanfall 2 stayed (maybe the campaign was enough to call it still functional?) This was also when Northstar client was developed, a modded version of Titanfall 2 that connected you to COMMUNITY owned and protected servers, servers that were safe from the hacks, the ddos, and even allowed for easier modding unlike vanilla TF|2. Also apparently Respawn was the one to stop making Titanfall 3, despite common belief I think EA was ok with the making of it, but Respawn thought what they had at the time simply wasn't good enough to live up to expectations (half life 3 situation). Also I'm convinced apex is in a different universe than titanfall 2 due to how little the writers of apex know about the titanfall universe

just wanted to make a correction, northstar servers shared the same vulnerability, the only reason it worked against the jeanue is because you would have to take down each server individually as they are decentralized making it a fools errand to even attempt to do that. the attatck you are talking about is the save titanfall 2 hack which was done by the mods of the remnent fleet discord server (and not the actual save titanfall 2 people)

Honestly, a quick glance at the Apex Legends story actually seems to indicate that alternate universes are canonical, likely because the writers of Apex didn't want to write any future titanfall games into corners.

The biggest heartbreak of all. Even if Titanfall 3 were to be made now It would be nothing like how we remembered it There wouldn’t be wall running or double jumping There wouldn’t be custom pilots or titans It would simply be, apex with titans and that’s the worst of it

It’s really interesting to see this from a different lens. I’ve only of heard the name of Titanfall, never played the games when they were out before apex. Apex was my only introduction back when it came out because a friend asked me to play. It was also my first time playing a free to play/battle Royale game. I played (haven’t finished) TF2 two years ago when someone gifted it to me on steam. I love it and need to get back to the campaign. As a gamer in general my heart goes out to the fans.

Thanks man, 50% of this video's editing time was spent cropping out pngs, I hope the effort does show xD The program I use has every transition template locked behind a pro version, so literally every zoom, moving news clipping and video clip transition was keyframed by hand.

@@Noobinati Yes it's the keyframes that mess with me. Also what do you mean by "every transition template locked behind a pro version" is it literally locked not even one simple transition? Oh I also found out not to long ago that you can save your transition or an effect as a file you can reuse. I use davinci(free version) by the way.

They managed to go from making one of the best FPS games of all time to one of the worst live service games of all time

Titanfall 1 An amazing space western setting with a good story and even better gameplay. Titanfall 2 its setting is been turned to slop. but we were here for the gameplay anyways, and now we have a proper story and one of the best multiplayers ever. Apex Its just slop and a slap in the face to the IPs real fans. Titanfall 3 (Deranged screaming)

Tbh if titan fall 3 were to come out (low odds) than it still could exist lore wise cause since the apex games take up a bunch of the lore right now it can sort of go like since the arcs explosion weird ripples have been found in the frontier and the apex games grounds can be caught in one of these ripples resorting into a limbo state and there is where it could begin

To add more salt to the wound. For however long the servers were down, EA was still putting TF2 ON SALE. Sure the SP is def worth $5. But to sell a MP game with completely in-operable servers is just fucking disgusting. And before that whole fiasco you'd be lucky to find a match within an hour, at least here in Oceania. Easily my favorite shooter, spent ages learning my air-strafing and movement. Such a shame it went unloved by so many, including its publisher. Sure the MP ain't balanced, but still the best movement shooter IMO. If Titanfall 3 comes out it will def become the default shooter over the next COD or Battlefield. Nothing beats it.
