Devils most likely. Demons would probably kill you on the spot but still possible i guess.

NOTE: I forgot to talk about subraces. In the gameplay we were shown the subrace of "Asmodeus Tiefling" which is the subrace choice that represents the racial bonuses that I talked about near the end of the video. Larian Studios did not mention using anything from the Mordenkainen’s Tome of Foes book, but it seems like they are dipping into it a little! There are 8 other subraces in the MToF book. I highly doubt they would use 8 more for the game, but it looks like they will be pulling 1 or 2 more from the MToF book which will allow for a wider variety of racial bonuses to choose from. If you are interested in playing a Tiefling but are looking for different racial bonuses than what I mentioned, keep an eye out for you may be in luck! Maybe a video on Descent Into Avernus? I haven't played tabletop since middleschool (many many years ago) and now I don't really have anyone in my social group that is into anything DnD. It would be cool to have a video on the events that lead up to BG3 since I heard that the Avernus campaign is the prequel to BG3? Also do you think we'll be dealing with any more Bhalspawn and Bhal in this game or are they all gone?

Loved Annah and Kalikke. Hope BG3 has a tiefling Origin character too. Warlock slots already taken by Wyll, so maybe something like a tiefling paladin of a Good god? Could be a cool twist.

An origin character would certainly be interesting. I forgot to talk about other possible Tiefling subraces which will offer different racial bonuses and bring us more variety for plausible class choices.

I have a concept for tiefling paladin I wanted to play in a campaign like Descent into Avernus or something. Basic premise: A burly but kinda lazy tiefling named Miac is raised by a priest to become a paladin of devotion. The priest informs Miac that he is actually the orphaned son of aasimar parents cursed by a night hag to conceive an infernal looking child. The priests believes redeeming acts of good can reverse the curse and restore Miacs true form as an aasimar. Not wanting to disappoint his caretaker, Miac reluctantly tries to prove the priest is right about him. He's a Zariel tiefling which both fuels the notion that he has some celestial connection, ties him to the BG:DiA storyline AND synergizes really well with the Paladin class.

Tiefling, Brass Dragon origin good/neutral sorcerer, it's a very nice paradoxical build to have fun with 🎋 Most characters already "forgive" me my race by now, after several inspirational acts already (not even a third into act 1, to get my feet wet for release). New to Gaming in general, and D&D lore in particular, learning a lot these days🎋 (Thanks to numerous videos and channels like this one, this is one of the best for Bg3, with Enzo "..."- can't remember the whole handle)

Love these videos. Hope more come now that we are nearing to full release.

I want to play one of the bricks in the blighted village that occasionally gets kicked, maybe even thrown at something occasionally, but has that "not necessarily a masonry" brick experience. Maybe a half-brick cleric of Lathandar or a demibrick bard.

When you said tieflings were similar to aasimar, I wanted to get our last D&D game back just so I could suggest to the stuffy Aasimar Wizard that she should dance on the table in taverns as it'd make her more like our tiefling rogue (who would make a note of who had a large purse when they threw and pickpocket them later). It would be worth the fireball just to see the reactions of those two.

Thanks for another amazing video, *Wolfheart!!!* love these *Lore & World Building* videos! It really adds some flavor too my playthrough of *Baldurs Gate 3* since it was just fully released out of early access. I believe I have around *50-60* hours just in *Act 1!!* 😂 there are some others out there that have around *70-90 hours* in just *Act 1* which is even more insane, its the definition of taking your time and enjoying the game. *Baldurs Gate 3* is actually super cheap, even though its technically *"full price"* at *$59.99* but its only of the only games where you literally get more hours in *Act 1* then you do in most full price *Triple A* games nowadays. It goes to show that *Larian Studios* really put thier love and passion into *Baldurs Gate 3* ... I am finally about to finish *Act 1* after fully exploring everywhere on the map, including *The Underdark* which I had no idea even existed at all. Thanks for these videos, I really appericate them & look forward to seeing more of these *Lore Type* videos in the future!

I am watching your playthrough of *Baldurs Gate 3* very slowly as I do not want to spoil the story for myself, I am almost done *Act 1* after *50-60* hours!

Yeah bloodlines with extra cantrips and ability score increases are cool and all, but do you know what's even better? Wings

I just wanna say i love the people i play dnd with for putting up with me. i once made a tiefling bard based on austin powers just so i could use the pun "do i make you horny baby?" and he didn't play an instrument his version of performance was miming stuff behind crates like going down an elevator or stairs or a canoe. The rest of the party would act super hype for it too. the wizard was always mesmerized like "omg how is he doing this sorcery" it was amazing. they're good people

I have a feeling that fiends aren't to up-to-date with modern ideas of "consent"

Odd thing I have found playing a Tiefling is I get more of a reaction as a drow than as a Tiefling. I haven't gotten very far yet playing one so that could change.

Is there any chance for a lore catch up since last bg in terms of big picture forgotten realms?

I don't think they HAVE to be You could switch it up, for instance if you change it to an elf You would change its appearance to fit being elven, and change its lifespan, perhaps add the elven language, but other than that you wouldn't change any of the stats

In Forgotten Realms lore one of the most powerful and proud clans of sun elves followed Araushne' s hateful whispers and the sly words of a Tempter-class Balor demon she ' loaned' to the Clan .. They decided to ' augment their bloodline', mating with Demons and creating the Faeri subclass of winged demonic-blooded elves.. They kept following the demons advice..and turned devastating epic magic opon other Elf clans/ nations..blasting the entire moon elf nation of sharantiel into a toxic wasteland with an unbelievable display of arcane power..

i dont get it.. why is everyone calling them Teaflings now been hearing that the last few years.... Back in the early 90's and into the early 2000's we called them Tieflings, you know as in 'Tie-Fighter'... Guess we should start calling 'Tie-Fighters', Tea-Fighters now.. LMAO
