Fantastic episode. When Darren and Tony were pulling Charlie out of the water I was in tears. Like a knife to the heart this episode and so relevant to present day 😭

This is so realistic. When you've decided to end your life, it's because it genuinely does seem like the pain will never end. That ending it is the only thing you can do. That the pain is forever. You feel so sad the first time you decide this, but your nerves are shot and the fire of pain is now gone, because now it is the end. Now you've reached the inevitable outcome. No more pain. It's all finally over

@@martincurran6432 I even had a dream from our Lord Jesus once and he was this close to telling me something important but just as the message got through my alarm went off and I never got it. Also my Boyfriend is what stopped me from taking my own life he talked me down Angel Martin. 😭💔

Wow such a powerful scene😢, brilliant actor. And it's so important to raise awareness to, Child and young adult mental health, we need to talk about this more, think it's good that you've shown it from all sides, as a parent of someone who struggles with mental health issues, I know how heartbreaking it is, seeing your child go through this and not knowing how to help them. So well done for raising awareness..

This story has been heartbreaking and these scenes were so poignant, Charlie's a great actor

This made me cry so bad 😢 such a good storyline that hits you hard x

I commend Charlie's acting in this story! Absolutely amazing! Mental Health in young people isn't taken seriously enough, it's so hard for my siblings or friends or my partner to get actual, genuine help and its upsetting and difficult.

I had several situations like Charlie were I wrote dark poetry just for crying out for help. Sadly, one of them caught of my Performing Arts teacher and she wanted to call the Child’s service and almost got my mom arrested (when all I was asking was needing for my parents’ marriage to stop making me feel torn apart as they whispered around each other fighting.) and the bullying in school was so rough. There had been moments I’ve made attempts, thankfully none of them successful but just brought me some conditions that I live now on my everyday life. It’s exhausting to live with a mental health condition that sucks you in and you don’t see anywhere out but dive in when finally you feel like silence it and silencing it out eases it all. But at the same time it’s so scary 😢even when they didn’t saw my struggles until much later, I’m glad that now I’ve that noise more controlled. I wish for anyone who struggles, to find a way to get help even if it feels there is no way to be found, you will get it. Just breath. Keep grinding and please seek help ❤

I really want to see what happens next this is a good message to people that don’t understand what others are going through nice to see hollyoaks still going after all these years ❤😅

Amazing young actor was in tears watching the episode hit close to home for me and my family

Oh my OA poor Charlie I feel so sorry for him I really love his character. I know it’s been two Years since there’s been a suicide storyline but I think having a Teenager trying to take his own life is a good awareness for once and I even wish Ethan was there with Darren helping Charlie but at least his Best Friend Tony was there with him and good thing they saved his life. I do hope he’ll get help I too know what it feels like to take your own life because I’ve been through this myself twice I never thought I wasn’t loved and nobody cared about me but I couldn’t go through with it because then I thought of my Boyfriend Addison who loves me and he talked me down. That scene with Charlie saying “you’re my real Dad” made me emotionally happy I do hope he’ll get help. 😟🤞🏻

This is just amazing hes doing so well and hes just telling such a important story ❤

The amount of times I’ve thought about doing the same. Thing. And seeing Charlie execute someone with depression and anxiety so so well, is brilliant. I watched it and it hit me like hell.

Poor Charlie I hope he gets some help He is one of my favourite characters and i how he finds peace 🥺

i deal with mental health issues myself i hope people watch this and see how much we struggle!!!

With Nancy being in that states with baby Morgan. I hope Darren lets Nancy know. I hope Darren is strong enough and has enough friends to support him as does Charlie because I hope Darren doesn't struggle with his depression. That message in the sand at the end. Good thing Tony and Darren got there in time. Charlie almost died.

I have also have my own mental health as well .i know how he feels . As well . I had really bad mental health one point . I am ok now but my mental health is struggling. Over the years. This story line means a lot. I used to be in a very dark place.everyone has mental health will needs to get help. Same with Charlie also needs help . Mental health is very dangerous . That what happened to me.

This storyline is good, very good it’s just a shame it’s in a flop era for the show cos sadly it won’t get the exposure or recognition it deserved. Charlie playing Charlie done a phenomenal job

A brilliant piece of acting. Well done to Charlie, Ashley and Nick. Unfortunately with Mental Health, you've got to get right to the very edge between life and death before you receive help.

top notch acting this is worthy of an award.

Realistically he would already be Dead. The drive there would have possibly taken an hour or so not only that but it’s not a lake it’s the Sea meaning if someone was to actually try and commit suicide out there you wouldn’t be able to find them so easily which is y tonight’s episode doesn’t make any sense to me. Unless he’s been there for hours and Darren and Tony have been trying to find him, but then that also doesn’t add up with the Car ride to the beach, it wouldn’t make any sense for them to read minds and come across his exact spot in the ocean either. And the Tide would only drift him off further out. The writing was actually lazy for this episode. If he ain’t dead or doesn’t die due to the Water drowning his insides I’ll be majorly surprised.

I think tony and diane have managed to make it look different and familiar at the same time. i remember the 90's interior of the pub 🍻 which was destroyed back in 2006 when Sam Owen set fire 🚒🔥 to the pub which killed him as well as Joe Spencer, Olivia Johnson and the Burton twins Mel and Sophie.

It's quite weird seeing the flashback clips of Charlie as a really young child as you can see he was originally a blond 👱 haired boy. Now he's an adolescent he had dark brunette 🧑 hair. I was originally blonde 👱 as a child and then became a darker brown 🧑 haired boy before my own adolescence and apparently this is common in many children as my dad and my two brothers were blond 👱 as children and went dark brown 🧑 eventually. Now I'm 39 and I look as bald 👴 as my dad and one of my brothers LOL! but I shave my head using a skull shaver to hide my baldness and it's hard to believe I was once a blond 👱 as it feels like such a long time ago.

Yes his mother Becca went into labour after just being sentenced to prison after his dad Justin her former pupil lied about being underage when they were first together although it was inappropriate relationship as she was his teacher and she was married to Jake Dean.

I just thought that was absolutely brilliant. Well done Charlie. I cried so much on that 😢. Hopefully all three of them are alright 😢

He wasn’t angry, he was scared it just came out as anger. Darren is at a loss as to how to hell his son. In some ways Darren feels just as alone and anxious as Charlie does.

I genuinely don't get how Darren was so thick when he had dealt with depression. He had to know that shutting down Charlie's outlet and making him feel bad about it wasn't going to help.

Poor Charlie. I think he also has also has Scizophrenia based on him hearing other things when others are asking he is ok etc He needs helps asap. Honestly the Charlie stuff is the only good thing in HO atm even Brooke is decent in this storyline.

I remember when D'marcus shoved him and he hit his head on a wall. I think that that must be what's making act like this. It must have had some serious repercussions to his brain considering the collision was bad enough that his head started bleeding
