Another beautiful rendition by these lovely ladies, Sheila, Valerie and Fayette, displaying their perfectly crafted vocals and choreography which made this song a show-stopper in the 70's.

My favorite version of this classic! Those harmonies were *angelic* Fayette was KILLING IT with that Soprano, what a voice. I love how Valerie delivered her part, so dramatic ❤ And Sheila had a beautiful voice, that tone was everything. Let's not forget about the coreography! Those hand movements were so delicate, and perfectly done. That ending was like opening the gates of heaven! *THIS IS THEIR BEST PERFORMANCE EVER*

Absolutely agree with you: it's a triumphant rendition of this song. .No one can touch it. And the Three Degrees at their magnificent peak! Three amazing voices and three beautiful women, three splendid examples of womanhood. Valerie's harmonies are so unusual--I've never heard anyone harmonize like her or them--they have their own unique, inimitable sound. This recording is also a great tribute to the lushness and luxury of the Philly sound at its glorious best. They are like three immortals on that stage--I always come back to this video of them and it never ceases to astonish me. I've been hooked on their sound since I first heard it in my early teens--a heavy rocker at the time--coming from a transistor radio on a building site where I was stacking bricks. I looked at the radio and thought: Omigod, who is THAT? They epitomize the phrase "a class act."

Remarkable. This goes to show that the Three Degrees were all supremely talented and oozing with class. Obviously Sheila normally fronted the group, but it's great to see Fayette and Valerie get their moment in the spotlight. Why can't we see the likes of this nowadays; it can't be a sudden vacuum of good singers surely? Times and fashions change but, why oh why can we not see the quality available instead of the, often, soulless garbage that gets trotted out by the record company moguls of today. It's just starving our younger generations who are fed a diet of cr*p, and are so used to it now that they wouldn't recognise brilliance if it bit them on the butt cheeks.

What a masterpiece. Compelling musical arrangement, beautiful vocals, inspired choreography and flawlessly executed. I've long thought that TTD are one of the most underrated acts of their time. Yes, there were other girl groups of the period, all quite good, but none seemed to match the vocal power and sophisticated moves of TDD. No disrespect to any other group or artist, it's just my own know-nothing opinion. But unlike some of their girl group contemporaries, each lady in TDD was solid in her own right--vocally and and as a dancer. Just doesn't seem like they ever got the recognition they should have had. Plus, they still tour and I think even it's the same origninal lineup, the same three ladies. That speaks favorably for them too. No crazy number of new members coming and going. After Diana left, I think The Supremes had about 488 different ladies come and go. Good for the TDD. Class act straight up.

I was right in time for Donna's version, and we looked at it for Senior Band in high school, but ended up not doing it for the spring concert. The only song I really know by the Degrees is Giving Up, Giving In. Their previous hit, When Will I See You Again, was redone by Magda Layna, and I used to hear it a lot at the disco I frequented.

I agree with you Michelle, there are no groups, men or women, like this today. Soooo much class, beauty and wonderful, magnificent unmatched voices . I appreciate beyond words what these vastly talented ladies have contributed to music. Our Grand Creator KNEW what He was doing when He gave us the Three Degrees. This is truly enjoyable....
Sleep in sweet Peace Ms. Fayette.

They sing so Beautiful.....
Wow! What an awesome performance, these ladies had crazy talent, class and sex appeal. They look fabulous in those fitted gowns and can still do the choreography and keep their harmonies tight. I have become a big fan of The Three Degrees.
3 absolutely beautiful women with superb voices ❤️
I made the mistake of looking at my first Three Degrees video....now i just can't stop! Somebody HELP!!!!

Difficult to dispute that.
My goodness they are so so good!!! Their voices, their musicality, their movement, their beauty! Just perfect!
Looking like Goddess's ladies with the voices of angels!
I'm not going to compare this performance to other artists renditions or critically rate this according to my personal likings. Behold, The Three Degrees performing MacArthur Park. Ladies, you put on a beautiful and entertaining performance here. We will probably never see the likes of this caliber of entertainment again in our lifetime. Thanks Psimberg for posting this.
How the hell can you be THIS Good? It's the definition of perfection.
Redd Fox should be thanked so much for finding the 3 degrees

You look very beautiful yourself and I would love to communicate with you and perform some music personally for you, if there is a way.
Three of the most classy and beautiful ladies ever to grace the music world. Such a pure sound. Nothing like this on the stage these days.
A very powerful and elegant performance from three extremely talented and absolutely beautiful women.
What was perfect was their blend and the fact that had their own vocal identity. Nowhere is this found today
This gives me a sense of peace and utter awe. They had beautiful harmony and pitch. The song is so poetic and amazing!
Each of the singer's shows her chops in this piece. Gorgeous!

I agree. I did not know the Three Degrees sang McArthur Park. Gorgeous harmony.
Miss you,Fayette...
Gosh, weren't these ladies just so graceful. I absolutely loved to watch them perform, during the '70s and beyond. They could sing in perfect harmony and dance to boot, beautiful ladies!
Donna Summer and the 3 degrees are just too good to compare . They are exceptional.
When you are absolutely at the top of your game! Impossible to do better!
I absolutely love this video. They all sound amazing and the harmonies are so on point. Fayette's voice was perfect for this song.
This performance is sublime. The choreography and the aesthetics combine with the natural and believable spirit of the performance to just take the outstanding vocals and create something very special.
I've been looking for a performance of this song that does it justice. I believe I have finally found it.
they should have been called " the Three Godesses" !!
I'm saying that this is the definitive version.
nothing like this today, what talent and beauty
Truly classic what a gem. Such sweet harmonies 100% real singing. Simply beautiful!!!!
Didn’t realize how prophetic this song was and is, today…and singing this science are Three Degrees of sweet music. Rise In Power Fayette (Queen)

I couldn't agree more!
Never got the recognition here in the US that they deserved . I started following them when background singers for Englebert Humperdinck and then seeing them in the movie “ The French Connection “ !
An outstanding performance!
A superlative - and definitive - performance. Thanks a lot!
They're beautiful personified.
Ive been listening to this group and introducing youngsters to The Three Degrees since I first heard them at a South Florida Disco in 1974. Ive got all their LPs and 45's and still play them on my Stereo system that Ive had for almost 50 years!!! And their sound on Reel To Reel Tape!!

I've been to their concert in Japan in the mid '70's and they were fab.
Beautifully done.....excellent harmonies and very pleasant to look at as well...what more can you ask for:)
This made my day. WOW!!!
This is the best version I have come across. Not the power of Donna Summer ... but the whole performance is just great.

I was only 8, 9 years old when I first heard them. And in elementary school I along with two other girls, would playback their songs. We were three of the four tan girls in our class in a wonderful school in Amsterdam and we loved their elegant dresses and graceful moves!
three nice sets of......singing voices.
Absolutely amazing....thank you for sharing
CLassic footage of a classic trio!!!!!! Perfect harmony !!!!Thanks for sharing!!!!
Stunning performance ❤
Production, Choreography, etc. can't be beat!!!!!!!
awesome sensous captivating show stopper perfect
I love this version!!! Such clean beautiful harmonies, real honest heart in some of that. The choreography is timeless (or lost in time) too lol.
"And after all the loves of my life, and after all the loves of my life, you'll still be the one..." RIP, Tony Cannone, the greatest and only love of my life.
My life feels more complete to see and hear this wonderfully talented group do so much more than I ever knew they did. Why were they kept away from the main scene here in America?? If just for their performances I am thankful for the internet and those who appreciate their talent and heartfelt presence onstage to provide these videos I would never have known about.
BRAVO a trillion times over best rendition of this song I've seen yet!!!
Unbelievably difficult flawless harmonies, superb choreography, and glamour. Why am I now only learning about this TERIFFIC group via KZread?!
Miss you Fayette
I've heard and seen this song performed so many times.... I never thought it could ever be done so brilliantly .So beautiful you girls are, and ever so touching and amazing is the way you portray this song. I am forever moved... God bless your beauty and your voices, you are so loved......and so missed.
Loved this group since "When Will I See You Again". My family and friends never understood, but I do.
FANTASTIC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They sing with their heart and we hear it pure.
Wow, such beautiful voices and BEAUTIFUL ladies.
Best female band ever. Period.
I've never heard this version only Donna Summers but this is certainly worth the listen the harmonies are gorgeous as are the girls and the choreography so old school and soulful.
