About 20 years ago I walked into the "monster movie memorabilia" store at Hollywood and Highland (forgot the name of the store) to browse. To my surprise, there sat Gordon and Combs at a table waiting to sign DVD copies of "Re-Animator" for anyone who bought one. Nobody was there. It was like that record signing scene in "Spinal Tap". I bought one and they both signed it. Talked about the film with them for about 15 min as nobody else showed up. Both were cool guys.

Wow! This was incredible. I have always had a tremendous respect for Mr.Combs. I did not see Re-Animator until I was older. My first real exposure to Mr. Combs work was “The Frightners”, “I still know what you did last summer” and House on Haunted Hill. I loved him in all those films particularly “The Frightners” which is my favorite of his works. This was just a fantastic interview with this icon. I was very saddened about Stuart Gordon’s passing earlier this year. I was curious if either of you have seen his film “Stuck” from 2007. The films is inspired by real events and I think it is brilliant. Best to you both always and thank you for this amazing weekly podcast.

We all call him Mr. Combs for a reason. It's a respect of his work and the person he is. Just hear him talk and you'll enjoy the conversation. Anyone ever see Frightmare? It a film that came out in the early 80's. Make it a popcorn night & press play sometime.

Wow I was not expecting my question to be answered especially at length like that!! (My channel used to be Badblood's Trophy Room) Thanks so much!! Another great episode!! I was expecting an answer like that. As cool as a Re-animator reboot could be, I also don't think they could possibly do it justice and that's not a bad thing at all. It makes Re-Animator all that more special.

I'm in Law Enforcement and the one eyed sack reminds me of a case. A suspect did an armed robbery at a conveyance store and had a pillow case over his head and only one eye cut out. He was last seen running into a apartment complex and we started knocking on doors to see if anyone saw anything. We knocked on a door and a dude opened the door....with one eye. My investigative skills kicked in and it turned out he did the robbery. If he just cut another hole, we wouldn't even looked at him. Another great show guys. Happy Halloween.

Another great show. I hate when my parents fight in front of me though. Lol. I was an insane Van Halen fan the point every signature in my 7th grade year book mentions how much I liked them. I was lucky enough to be passing through New Orleans in 2012 on my 40th Birthday and saw them with Roth. I agree Mike Anthony should have been included. I also saw Van Hagar at the Texas Jam in 86 too. There’ll never be another one like Edward Van Halen. RIP. Sean the inebriated Halloween 2 unboxing video this week was gold too. Loved Jeffrey Combs!

Greetings Sean and Chris! I'm an Independent filmmaker based out of Northeast Kansas and just wrapped my latest project in August titled, "The Road Demon". Had the pleasure of meeting the legendary Christopher Nelson in St. Jo, Missouri at last years Crypticon. What a great guy and super chill to talk to. Gave me some great tips on redoing my Trick or Treat Studios Halloween 2018 hair. What I love about meeting people in the horror community is that everyone seems really laid back and willing to engage in an actual conversation. There's this greater sense that horror filmmakers and fans aren't only horror fans, but cinema fans in general. Its really great to have those like minded conversations. So thank you. Also funny to hear the story about you all getting hammered in St. Jo. Not much else to do there. Question for both of you: Are either of you fans of the 1962 horror classic, "Carnival of Souls" ? It was primarily shot here in Lawrence, KS and many of the locations still stand today. Wonderful film. Thank you both for everything that you do for the horror film and filmmaking community.

After a double feature of Halloween 2018 and this episode it just hit me that Christopher Nelson can do anything. He gives a terrific and funny yet grounded performance in the same movie he's delivering such inventively nauseating effects and then I see him bring that same easy going charm to the best interview I've ever seen with one of my favorite actors. I know it sounds like I'm blowing sunshine up his ass but really I'm listing all the reasons why I loathe him...

Hey Sean and Chris, been watching your show for a couple weeks now and really been enjoying the content you guys are producing. Got a possibly interesting question for you, Sean. I recently found some articles back from 2013 on google from bloody disgusting, dread central, exc.. talking about a couple rolls of unseen footage from the Original Halloween that someone has. Apparently there is footage of Nick Castle dancing around the front yard after the end of scene of him being shot off the balcony and laying in the yard. There is much more than that from what I’ve read, including a 4 1/2 minute video of Ray Stella and Dean Cundy messing with the panaglide camera just days before they shot the film. For Halloween purists, I imagine any behind the scenes extras that have never been seen would be priceless. Apparently the Akkads we’re not interested in this at the time of releasing the 35th anniversary blu Ray, but I figured asking someone with superior intellect of the Halloween franchise such as yourself would maybe have more insight into this subject? I’ve never heard anyone discuss it before. Keep doing your thing gentlemen, you guys get me through some really long work days.

'// i agree..its another good edit by the clark, he the superman.

Would the longer ranking episodes be better or easier if they were limited to top ten? I would love to hear a John Carpenter episode or an in depth Friday the 13th episode as other fans have suggested. It doesn't have to always be "ten," but a limit may be less daunting and it may raise the stakes to leave some films off of your lists. Also could a David Cronenberg or Wes Craven ranking (without going in depth on the Scream movies) be potential future episodes? Thank you sincerely for the excellent entertainment during these troubling times. Watching the podcast while I'm in the kitchen makes cooking from home something I look forward to very much. I can't wait for the Jaws episode. I apologize in advance for the long question. If you think it's worth discussing I won't be insulted at all if it's shortened for time. My extended pitch for the top 10: You would still watch every movie and could still discuss why movies didn't make your lists as you wish. I think it would be funny to hear which "fodder" or "dreck" Chris doesn't mind excluding from his list. :-) My suggestion if you do a John Carpenter episode: Please include the TV movies and especially the Masters of Horror episode Cigarette Burns. I'm not sure about including the Wes Craven TV movies.
