I shot a six point on opening day here in Michigan and I buggered a chance with a big 10 point the third week of October and I have passed so many small bucks since opening day that I can’t even count I’m just hoping I finally get to see something even with the ears or outside of them so I can fill this other buck tag I have. Killed three does this year so it’s not like I haven’t put blood on the ground. Just gonna keep my chin up and keep chugging.

@@TheElementWild well I kept hunting my ass off and I shot my first 10 point buck today could never get one above eight points lol. I’m damn happy with him cleaning my deer stuff up and putting it all in the closet. I shot a whole crap load of deer this year and two bucks so I’m good.

That's how it's been here in PA, especially the last two years. Nice and cold last 2 weeks of October then the 1st. 2 weeks of November in the 60s and '70s but still cold at night usually

Lazy crossbow hunter… Ohhhhh dang!! Shots fired 😂😂😂 thanks fellas. I think you just inspired me to get after it after all. Have been struggling because I had made it a goal this year to help my 10 year old to get his first deer, and try to get my 12 year old his second deer. But after struggling last weekend (plus took them out of school Monday and Tuesday) and was a very very challenging time- I realized last night they still haven’t met that goal, I started feeling I need to put my own hunting aside and keep trying to reach the goal. BUT, my sweet wife reminded me, I can’t want it more than they do, and dang it, I want to do some hunting! Still need to redeem my first and only buck last year ending with failure through bad shot and coyote total loss. So, she recommended, unless they tell me they want to go, all on their own, it’s all me this weekend. So thanks for the encouragement, God bless, have fun, and be safe on your next leg out!

I’m hunting Sam Houston in Texas! I remember y’all did the Map Scout Challenge there! It’s definitely been tough hunting there this year! But, you gotta just keep getting to it! Datgummit!!!!

Man, I don't even get my layoffs at work until December and even then I've usually got union business to do at the hall, so I'm a late season guy by necessity. I got lucky with my early season doe in October before sun got down super early after work. I'm planning for the tail end of muzzleloader season and my end of season bow hunting. CT even has a private land extension until the end of January. Doing what I can with what I got.
