The Theravada Abhidhamma with Bhikkhu Bodhi (Class #9, 23 Mar 2018)

Dharma Realm Buddhist University Extension hosted Venerable Bhikkhu Bodhi for a lecture series at the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas in Ukiah, CA.
The Abhidhamma is the philosophical psychology of Early Buddhism, dealing with such topics as types of consciousness, the 52 mental factors, processes of cognition, and the development of the mind’s higher potentials.
Venerable Bhikkhu Bodhi is an American Buddhist monk with many important publications to his credit, either as author, translator, or editor, including the main text for this class.

    If to a butcher at moment of die present to him, as object, the fact of give food a thousands of people? The object maybe depends more of the intention of actions them the actions himself? Things are not black or white.

    You wear a monk robe ! Why do you need to wear a Shirt ? It's not a Theravada uniform.

    You ask this same question over and over again. Why don't you use your common sense and ask yourself what would you wear during Winter if you lived in a county with 4 seasons. Same goes for this monk.
