Scouts VA has dropped off from Voice Acting entirely and seems to want to distance himself from it for real life related issues. Engineers VA is always busy and never really considered playing him as a passion and nothing more than just another gig. As for Soldier well... Rick May would've probably have loved to do these TF2 VA collabs if he were still with us. @@CoffeeTablemmm

I love how the new one sounds like the TF2 mercs are going along with a murder mystery game that Engineer set up. Engineer: The mastermind behind the story. Medic, Scout, Soldier, Demoman: The ones actually into the game. Heavy: Not amused because this is literally the third time he’s been pulled into this in the same month. Sniper: Walked in during the middle of it, wanted to leave, ended up actually having fun. Spy: Decides to roll with it but just wants it to end so he can get back to more important things.

Btw the video ended up being amazing feels so smooth with the actual voices, back in the day animators had to work with the voice lines that were in the game and It think that's great part of why this humour was born, now with the real VAs feels like polishing to perfection this animations. You know, as a YTP fan from 2008, I really do struggle with the fact that random humor and shitposting is a wide-spread thing now. Part of the appeal of YTP was, to child me anyway, that it was DEFINITELY something you didn't really share with anyone else. As I've gotten way older and seeing it be everywhere now, I STILL wouldn't dare bring it up with anyone else in the real world. 😂 TF2 has always worked well with the shitposting chaos, however. Probably because the actual game is complete chaos, and most players would be drawn to the kind of humor.

I will never forgive Covid for not letting Rick May live a little longer to be a part of this whole group of TF2 VA's filled with so much vibe and silliness, and turn that into a whole other level.

There was a reason given to his absence. Nathan (scout’s va) didn’t want to just be known as just the scout guy, and wanted to branch out. He took an indefinite break from this type of stuff, from what we know, though he might come back to do more community based stuff later on.

its funny how the voice actor for medic has basically just become the medic, but still just has an archimedes plushie instead of actually just having a pet bird, tho i do understand because owning a pet bird is hard.

I love Medic's VA. So much chaotic energy radiates off of both him and his character.

I think that he can still do it really well, but for some reason it sounded different then in the meet the heavy recreation. There it sounded great! Here, idk, was it because he was using a calm voice? I feel like his voice wasn’t “so big and powerful “ like usual.

I couldn't hear any difference, still cool. The mixing in the original is great and the performances in the recreation by aging VAs is also great. It's crazy that they all still have it after all of this time. Sure, they were already pretty old when the lines were recorded, but really old age can destroy vocal cords. I mean, I'm sure there's a reason why old people have old people voices.
