Europe is full of buildings like that.

You will have to come back in March and experience the re-enactment of the battle of Fort Defiance. The re-enactors camp according to 1836 customs and provisions. Then they battle with the Mexican Army, cannons and all. It’s well worth the trip.

San Antonio Missions should be a place to visit aswell in San Antonio Texas
