I love Myron and his videos. I have shared many of his videos and he’s spot on. In this particular case, I do not agree that roadster sales funded the company. Gross profits for each roadster sold was about $15K at about 2,000 units sold a year. That’s about $30M a year in profits which is not bad. But it’s not what fueled Tesla’s growth. Tesla received about $5 BILLION from the government (taxpayer money) to grow his company. Receiving government money is Elon’s true model in building his companies. Elon is a genius that way. Regardless, I love the concept that Myron is talking about here.

I thought the same thing. The Roadster was the proof of concept if anything but government money and Elon's own pocket were what got Tesla going. Plus the Roadster is the brainchild of the original co-founders Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning. Elon came on board afterward. But Myron has a point on premium offerings. That can help set you apart from the competition when done right.

Bs he never lobbied congress. Those tax breaks written in by Obama were for the entire alt energy industry. He just benefitted as did solar and wind and every ev maker. Yet he made mass market the Leaf didn't Prius sales sucked forever as well and what exact tax breaks did he get for PayPal

The problem with the so-called premium cookies is that they lack intrinsic value or at least they're hyped up way beyond their actual worth. For any product, I ask: How will it improve my life? Calling a cookie "better than sex" is a worldly marketing lie. It's like they're selling a hedonistic fantasy. I so wish you wouldn't have said that, Myron. Oh well, we're all fallible. "Like a peanut butter thunderstorm in your mouth." Sadly, many people fall for it all the time. I wish marketing were more truthful. That's all.
