The first two episodes are more introductory episodes. The main arc is starting next episode, and it just gets more extreme from here. Y’all are going to love it.

Vax is "hard to pin down". He flirts hard with Gilmore and Keyleth, and does actually care for both. The purple hand that Scanlan casts is a traditional D&D spell, and even shows up in the recent Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves movie.

Vax is such a bisexual disaster, I love his interactions with Gilmore!

Vax originally did flirt with Gilmore to get a better deal, but only when they first met. The flirting since then is just because they like each other. His interest in Keyleth is genuine too.

Tbf they got a whole castle for their efforts, a permanent job as protectors, and are honorary members of the council of Tal'Dorei. Not too bad of a reward for one mission. Love your reactions so far, I'm looking forward to your future Vox Machina reactions!

Yeah, in the series it seems kind of a big reward for just one mission, but in the actual game they had been working for the crown for a while (including this blue dragon mission), and then they uncovered a demon's plot to take over Sovereign Uriel and destroyed him, so that earned them the title of protectors of the realm.

Bidet! As the series continues, each character gets their moments to shine. Your reactions are great and it is nice to see two new additions to the critter community. Personally Grog and Scanlan are my favorite but they are all "my favorite" at different points in the story. Enjoy the ride!

"I remember Vax and Vex, the easy ones!" The irony even Matt Mercer, the DM mixed them up all the time in game this show is based off of. As a joke to how often people confused their names, their players Liam O'Brian and Laura Bailey (who also sat side by side at the table in game) wore a pair of shirts that pointed to each other. Liam's read "I'm Vax, she's Vex" and Laura's read "I'm Vex, he's Vax". Eventually Travis Willingham, Laura's husband and Grog's player, got one of his own that pointed up at his own face and read "I'm Grog, I'm Grog" in both slots as a joke.

😂 the cast seems like they have a great time making this show!

They got away with plenty of gold. The moment they saw the horde, Grog and Pike started filling a bag with gold and treasure. Vex had an armload as she left. And even though Scanlan dropped his box, he did come away with a scroll, three potions, and a troll dick. The largest share is in the bag that Grog is carrying.

So nice to see that people are enjoying this show :333 6:27 "they should`ve never left these two alone" - this is a truth, because Scanlan and Grog are the most chaotic unstoppable force :DDD Good to see you liked Gilmore, the shopkeeper. He`s great.

Oh god ain't that the truth. Or even just Sam and Travis. All I'm saying is Vasselheim and guards.

Looting happened before the fight. My personal favorite is Percy. It's the next 3 or 4 episodes that you will find out why the community (us critters} refer to him as No Mercy Percy.

Just some info. Some adult dragons in D&D Have the Polymorph ability, which allows them to mingle amongst the humanoid races. Not mentioned in the show but General Krieg was most likely murdered by Brimscythe.

It's going to be tricky to pick 'the most powerful' because they all have one spot where they're going to shine. Also, this is almost a full campaign compressed into five seasons (I think) so it might end up seeming like folks are ROCKETING in power at some points.

For fun: By the end (level 20), the person with the highest record for damage done in a single turn was PFVMKDR3 (iykyk), and the highest POTENTIAL damage was Pike, if we assume the enemy would be undead. :)

@@AlmostOtaku7 I remember seeing a breakdown of the party's total kills episode by episode across the entire campaign and every time Pike showed back up whenever Ashley returned from her absences filming Blindspot, her kill count just skyrockets. Girl is a MONSTAH!

The Shopkeeper, Gilmore, is my all-time favourite character. I also really love Allura, the blonde woman in the blue dress in the castle. She's also amazing

It actually makes no sense for Fince to be the dragon, as he said in the first episode that they should capture it and use it as a weapon (To which Krieg glared at him for saying).

Here's the thing. Critical Role (and by extension LoVM) is the kind of IP where it's basically impossible to just pick a favourite character and stick to it. While watching the campaign my favourite changed anywhere from every five episodes to every five minutes to just whoever was talking at any given moment. Looking back at the whole campaign, I'd have to say my favourite overall is probably Vex, for reasons that are way too spoilery to specify here.

What’s interesting is, I think it’s hard for most critters to pick a favorite because we got to know all the characters and the actors so well through the D&D streams. There really is something great to love about all the characters, so it’s hard to pick. Like a parent choosing their favorite child, it just can’t be done sometimes. I’d say I love the cohesion of all the characters together. It’s a group and thankfully no one ends up like supporting actors in someone else’s story over the course of the whole campaign. They’ll all get their moments.

That seems to be most people's answer and we're starting to see why! All the characters are showing how strong and complex and fun they are. Definitely getting harder to pick a favorite 🔥

I loved the fight against the dragon, the teamwork and the music were on point

Your not wrong, Scanlan my be small and how he acts may have you righting him off as a push over, but he’s low key hella strong. His versatility in magic and his charisma gets the group out of a lot of sticky situations. And you can argue that he is essential to the teams success. In this one fight alone, he rescues another team member by obliterating a large boulder, then offensively hurls his teammates at the target. He also distracts and gave them the opening for a surprise attack with his illusions. In the original D&D game this is based on, Scanlan’s VA wanted to make a jokey sort of character and asked his more experienced game players what would be the silliest or worst character he could play as. So his bud Liam recommended a gnome bard. Turned out as the game progressed, Scanlan actually became one of the strongest characters in the D&D party. He gets a lot of epic moments, one you’re going to see this season! Looking forward to that episode!

We just finished the "Scanbo" episode, so we're starting to see Scanlan step up and show more cool abilities! Loving the character so far 💜

AFter the end of season 2, this may be your favorite show ever on Prime, it is for me. Not all time favorite but it is extremely high up on my list, probably in my top 10 shows.

For season 1, my favorite is Scalen, but it's hard to like just one, as all of them are great. Season 2 won't say until you get to that season. I believe it's episode 7 is when it hits a corner and gets crazy better after that even into season 2 and beyond.

12:10 reminds me a bit of Castlevania. That show's fire and I highly recommend you guys check it out some time as well if you haven't yet.

They're all too good to have a simple best character. Grog is my favorite because playing the big dumb guy is so much fun in any TTRPG, and there's more to him than that, but I don't want to spoil anything else about him. 🙂

I cannot wait for you to get into the next episodes. The reason some of their powers and skills seem uneven is because the roll of the die to determine if they if they succeed or fail in the game of D&D. I am sure others have told you it is based off of Critical Role's first D&D campaign they streamed.
