We Boomers and GenXers lived in a Truly Remarkable Time for Cinematography! I mean the late 70s, 80s and 90s was a Golden Era! And yes! We had PLENTY of diversity! With Women and Ethnic Minorities having key roles in lots of movies! And the only ones who would bat their eyelids at that, were the retarded bigots! But now??? Now the Left is just as hinged on this crap as the Far Right! And the film industry, as well as other forms of media, has suffered! Greatly!!! As a result!

Terminator 2 is the best for obvious reasons I do love it but.. I definitely love 1984 premise of just horror and suspense. I love how the terminator used to just be terrifying. If the stop motion had been a little smoother, it would have been even more convincing. The scare factor was pretty much eliminated in future films since you can't really convey that same "first time fear" across several sequels. Kind of in the same vein as the aliens chest bursting, once you've seen it, you've seen it. The T-1000 was the next most threatening entity after the original T-800, but after that they were just beating a dead horse.

@@smittyvanjagermanjenson182 I agree regarding the frame rate of the stop motion. I think we are half there, there is topic in AI field particular called Deep Learning, which in nutshell means the algorithm can learn on it's own, depending how much data available it have. So if we made some robots, for example than can shoot, by it's time he can learn how to do it more accurate etc, but most of that depend how much available data it have, and if for the robot those data are enough to rationalize if here makes mistake in shooting or not. Depending from the data the robot can be total failure or something that u are afraid to challenge.

T2 was the very first terminator movie I’d watched as a kid in the 2000s. I didn’t understand much about the apocalypse. But I remember thinking the action was cool. Then, I watched T3 and understood that one a little better. I was still in single digits though. I didn’t watch this one till 2011 and that’s when I really fell in love with the franchise. I went back and watched all the movies. I know T2 was better but this is a classic in itself. I knew Linda Hamilton and Arnold from T2, but I’m glad I witnessed how phenomenal Michael Biehn was in this one. He’s so underrated.
The Terminator and Terminator 2 was a masterpiece. Best movie for ever. James Cameron and Gale Anne Hurd was amazing.👍👍👍

In the old Hollywood there was only a few studio whom were able to make this type of movie set. This robot was made from real metal, which made him fully realistic , but it was extremely hard to get move it. In 1983-4 when this movie was made, the budget of the special effects was relatively low, less than a million dollar, (whole movie was 6.4 million)but in the cinemas, the viewers loved them. In the early 80'-s, Los angeles was extremely dangerous, Cameron always wanted to shoot nightime in order to keep the cost low. Schwarzenegger used to walk around in the city most dangerous parts to study the gangs and the spirit of the city for this movie.

James Cameron didn't waste a single frame of this movie, a true classic & a masterpiece!
Funny that they should have got into a Cyberdyne manufacturing plant. The rest is future-in-the-making.
I remember watching this movie with my aunt. She actually covered my eyes and prevented me from watching this scene cus she thought it was too scary
Terminator is one of the rare saga where 2 is better than 1. Besides, many don't remember 1 and many have never seen it.

Agreed! But 1 is still an absolute cult classic and 2 wouldn't make sense or exist without it. Another example is Alien franchise, I think Aliens is better, But same applies for Alien.
今の映画にはこの怖さが出せない
Rest in Peace Kyle Reese.
It’s weird when you think about now… but they could stayed outside and walked 5 miles an hour give or take plus some light jogging in between and the limping Terminator would have been far behind. Well maybe not. Haha Reese got a bad leg. that’s writing for you.

Are not the T-800's one of the most scary things ever. Get shivers watching this scene...
This is a horror movie without any supernatural
In other words terminator was close killing Sara Conner Arnold was real evil he learn to look mean looking and never forget his mission
This was the most terrifying scene of the entire franchise, an ingredient none of the subsequent films could replicate. Interesting that a single stick of dynamite blew apart this T-800....whereas in subsequent films like Salvation...T-800s took M-79 grenade rounds (undoubtedly with more explosive charge than just TNT) smack in the face, and it barely phased them. I think the creative team on Salvation dropped the ball and should've kept this in mind. Just another detail showing this film and the second one were miles ahead of anything later in the series.
*Welldone Mr James Cameron your Terminator first movie🎬 NEVER dies or getting expired👏🏻* From 2023✌🏻
James Cameron created iconic movie with first and 2nd terminator movie. 👏🏼
How in the holy hell do you explain all this shit to the police when they arrive? Lol

Wait, what? Are you saying you were 3 when you saw it, or you saw it later? I don't think a 3 year old can remember such a thing, at least not in great detail.
terminator series movies is still favourite for me
When I saw 0:22 for the first time, I legit got shook because of how unsettling that stop-motion animation was.

I like that most 80’s sci-fi is filmed like a horror movie.
