THE TENT. First Snowfall Of The Year. 8-10 inches on the ground. Clearing trees.

The first snowfall hit and packed a punch, 8 to 10 inches of wet fresh snow has downed trees. It is a very beautiful sight to see but many trees needed to be cleared to be able to drive around. A very busy day. The power went out so the Tent went off grid for awhile.

I love winter snow storm videos at the cabin. Can't wait for more!
I really love this. My parents inherited a log cabin on a 1/4 acre in Bragg Creek, Alberta, Canada, in 1971. Built in 1939. Old wood burning stove and very rustic. We loved "roughing" it there in the summer. In 1991 they built a home behind the cabin and retired. In the winter months, the area looked just like your video. We had sleigh rides with our children and enjoyed many years of "a different way of life". Sadly, it was sold and my parents have passed away. Bragg Creek is not the same as in the 70's. Too many tourists and crowded. Thank you for bringing back many memories of the past.
Floridian here and this is unbelievable. Absolutely, beautiful.
Even though I am tired of the snow and ready for spring, I can never get tired of how gorgeous a thick heavy icy fresh snow covering in the woods is. Beautiful

So beautiful. Reminds me of a day in November back in 1974 when I was bow hunting for deer. It snowed during the night and we woke up to 8 inches on the tent and everywhere else. Trees hanging over the road and the trails. So beautiful. Trail mix is a staple on the deer stand. Yours looks good. Salty and savory with the M&M's and jerky. Ate a lot of bannock back in those days too. Lots of butter and honey! Great videos Joe!!!
The scenery when you take the drive is absolutely gorgeous!

So beautiful. I haven't seen snow for 5 years. Sometimes i miss the snow and my home town as well. Thank u for brings back memories
How beautiful and blissful that looks!! That’s the life. Thanks for sharing. ❄️❄️❄️
Really beautiful country from here in a warm cozy place. I thank you for sharing this experience with me and others here. Great job and great life adventures to you.
Very neat place and interesting video.
Your place reminds me of the trailer and leanto my grandparents built in the mid 60's on a lake in East Texas. I remember going up there for Christmas and playing in the snow.
I’m a city girl, (Chicago to be exact), I don’t hunt, fish, even like summer time.... but I’ve watched hours of your amazing footage - it’s made me think I could possibly at the very least enjoy the winter wilderness as much as I love my city in the winter. Thanks to you all!!
Loving this semi-live series at the tent. Thanks for taking us along :) Looking forward to the rest of the tent videos and the deer hunt.

Good to see the Coleman oven out and in use. That’s how I found your channel originally, searching Coleman camp oven recipes.
Love the snow!!!! Beautiful!!! Ideal place to enjoy it.
The snowy trees look like a Thomas Kincade painting. Beautiful.
Your opening part of the video showing the tent at night is beautiful. Would look good on a Christmas card. Inside the tent looks cozy. Every thing is so lovely.
so beautiful, it's like the trees are asleep and he goes and gently wakes them up.

thank you for your video. it's so beautiful. pine, road and snowfall... it's.. it's amazing!
My sister's mother in law is Hopi. She lives in the village of Hotevilla, Arizona. They are very traditional. No electricity, no running water. She did make an exception... she has water in the bathroom (toilet & shower). She heats her trailer w/ coal. She cooks all her meals on a one burner, using those small propane canisters that cost about $5 each. No stove, no oven, no refrigerator, no water heater, no freezer. This was back in 2016. No electricity...No TV! She still used a kerosene lamp. We would visit, once it started dark, she lite the kerosene lamp. You can visit for so long. We were all in bed by 9 or 10pm. Before the sun came up... she was cooking/sweeping. Hopis have lived like that for... centuries.
Your a real trooper, when it comes to getting stuff done Joe!!!! Glad you made it back safe to the tent.
this video reminds me of where I used to live in colorado. My 36 year old husband had passed away and I was raising young boys on my own. We got snowed in every winter and heated our cabin with a wood burning stove. Hard work.

colorado is so beautiful. i looked into buying a place to build a cabin. the people warned me not too. the liberal govt is after all so called off gridders and passed laws where you have to be hooked up to utilies. you can't buy a wood stove anymore and your neighbor has to be an illegal allien from mexico. the locals saw it coming and warned me.colorado is the last state i would live in now. so sad
I'm so glad it doesn't snow in L.A!!! I would be so scared to drive in this! But, it's a beauty!❄❄❄❄☃️⛄

Hi guys. Haven't been around forever. Cabin looks better and better every time I see it. Good looking as always.
After viewing this video it reinforced my idea of always taking my old truck into the woods and not have to be too concerned about getting scratches on the truck! Lessons learned. lol
Hey Joe. For what it is worth , My camp in Vt. started out with gas lights 30 years ago and then I put in solar which works pretty good. This year I changed all the lighting over to LED and you cant believe the difference. Can send pictures if you like and always remember to listen to Dad and never go into the back country without a chain saw. Season opens up here on the 10th and my boys are coming------good hunting. This is so cool ...being in the country,,natural wildlife. The decor is so nice..like a regular tiny 🏡...stay warm, 🦌 are running. Hoping ya catch a big 8 pointer. This video was amazing,,,so creative. And love decor. Lanterns are so economical.cabinets are roomy as well... candles lighted. Pretty awesome, reminds me of growing up upstate ny,,,we would have have so much snow. Electric would go out,,mom had candles lighted, told us stories, and strange,we had no cell phones no internet, ,just some good old fashioned sleds,,,peanut butter jelly,,sandwiches,,and simple life,,,,,now days everything's so complicated. Our younger generations can't literally function without internet,,,,iPhones Apps,,,everything on cells,,,no outside in Paris,no verbal interaction,s. ...as you pass by teens these days. All you see is the texting. Headset in the ears, and literally as they walk they talk, modern world And technology is ruining our kids,,,teens too....
It's a very lovely journey, I too would like to travel like this one day ❤

Joe, Thanks so much for sharing this awesome video. It was exceptionally exciting to know how recently you filmed it ! Brought back tons of memories from the 1960’s in BC in the Okanagon Valley , hunting up at Sugar Lake. Some of the racks on the deer were unbelievable. You have done an absolutely amazing job with the cabin. Not only is it amazingly functional but very inviting and to an organization freak like me it’s a joy to see. Only thing I didn’t see evidence of was how you would handle an emergency like when you went in to check the cameras and broke your leg. If you had some kind of contact in the cabin but no cell service when out in the woods you could send a message out before you left and tell Zach that if he did not hear from you by a certain time to report it to emergency services. Also describe to him the situation, which was out you were taking and, if it wasn’t obvious when you hit the main road (set up an arrow on a tree at the junction which would indicate whether you had passed that point or not. Hope you had a great time hunting and hanging with your buddies . Cheers, Jim in Montpelier, VT. PS Carry a couple of flares , hand warmers and extra layers of clothing when on foot off the road.
Thank you for taking us on your journey, that is so generous of you. Be blessed
I love it- would love to spend a Christmas up there with family!! Truly Blessed❤️
