May 21, 2020: A live, on-line event presented by the Tenderloin Museum in San Francisco. Description: A live, virtual panel discussion (5/21/2020) on the history of conflict between the City of San Francisco and the Tenderloin district -- with emphasis on the present crisis of tents overrunning the sidewalks. Over 400 tents block the sidewalks of the neighborhood, preventing safe passage by children, people in wheelchairs, the elderly, and residents of the apartment buildings and the many Single Resident Occupancy hotels (SRO's). The result is trash, filth, and an increase in crime and drug dealing. The UC Hastings College of Law, Tenderloin Merchants Association, and several individuals filed a law suit against the City in Federal court on 5/4/2020.
