It was, is. They sang so well nobody could top them, but at the same time they made it seem like they were just having a casual conversation with you. I like the fact that you very seldom had a problem making out what they were saying.

I didn't know what to expect when I decided to look at this. I saw the Temptations and the Dells at the Regal in March of 67 on a Friday and the next Friday I was on the critical list. I would go see the Temptations whenever they were in Chicago. I got off a bus and ran to the record shop for Beauty's Only Skin Deep in 66 the Temptations were and are still GREAT.

Their showmanship is mindblowing!

The Temptations - the complete package... Vocals, Style, Swag, Choreography and Music. There is nor will there every will be a group the comes close to The Emperors of Soul. THE TEMPTATIONS...MUCH LOVE ALWAYS

2019 still listening to THE VOICE, David Ruffin.❤️💯 Work out Melvin!!! When David went down on his knees and came back up, WOW!!!

They were both great and I also saw the both of them in concert at the Auditorium in Chicago. Eddie Kendricks was one of the few artists who survived the disco era. 💯

Yup. Van McCoy cut a couple ground breaking hits on the best possible guy available.

The way blue n Eddie voice played off each other is classic n amazing

Can't say enough about the original 5 with Ruffin and Kendricks. Their abilities, skill set, and detail were without equal. Like a dynasty type championship team, being combined made them exceptional. All 5 could front a band. All 5 could dance and perform. Kudos must be given to Ruffin who was on a par or even better than any of his peers. This would include Cooke, Redding, and anyone from across the pond. Dylan and Lennon could pen a thought, no doubt. But Ruffin, like animation, could bring it to life.

Nobody else put it down like this, when David felt pressed, he'd hit that split. Paul choreographed their dances, wish he'd sang lead on more, he had such a rich voice. I luv em all tho.

You Know You're The First Person That I Ever Read Something About The Temptations To Ever Mention That Fact & It Is Absolutey True/ Melven Could Get Up There With His Voice Ranging From Deep Bass To Second & Sometimes First Tenor On Some Of Their Cuts Especially The Cuts They Did In The 80's/ Those Vast Arrangements With All Those Great Arrangers & Composers With Melven Adding His Mastering Degrees In Music On Songs like (A Song For You) Recorded Live In Paris & Japan/ & On (What Else) (Aiming At Your Heart) Just To Name A Few Was Like Putting The Icing On The Cake!!!! 🙏💎💎💎💎💜 💥💥💥💥

The Tempts had it down on all phases. Especially when it came to Paul doing the standards.

The thing about the Tempts is (like the Supremes) they could sing anything; whatever they were given to sing, they sang - and not half-ass, but with all of themselves in it. Saw this lineup many years ago as a child and they were an enormous presence on stage. Full of personality (also like the Supremes). We'll never see the likes of them again.

First time I saw this video. Very nice they lived on ed Sullivan show.

Precious Baby Doll David Ruffin was not an original Temptation. Eldridge Bryant was the original. David Ruffin replaced him. However the classic lineup is David, Paul,Eddie,Melvin and Otis

Nobody will ever compare to the Classic 5. Dennis Edwards was a great replacement for David but after Eddie left it was a wrap. Paul and Melvin out front dancing was excellent. Nobody could ever duplicate their sound. Just goes to show how amazing they were.
