great video! although i would've liked to see some color film exposed with the meter; c-41 tends to be less forgiving than b&w when it comes to over/under exposure, resulting in noticeable shifts.

Love this! The design is incredibly thoughtful, from size too materials to colour to usability. Thanks for bringing up its existence to my attention. Have you thought of doing an unboxing video about this? I'm curious to know how it's shipped.

Nice slick hair Noah! Darn this looks so useful I am tempted to order this but I already pre-ordered their spot-meter, so I will sit tight with my huge pentax spotmeter/phone app and wait patiently. I just saw an update by the creator on ks, and Matt Bechberger seems like a cool very talented individual.

I can not say enough good about this meter. I've used it with my multiple medium format cameras (kiev, bronica, mamiya), my kiev contax rangefinder, and on occasion even with my large format camera. It was always dead on and my photos came out well exposed if not always well composed! I signed up right away for the reveni labs spotmeter and am anxiously awaiting it. Reveni labs does a really great job with the kickstarter products. Neither the original or the spotmeter are kickstarter anymore.

Great video as always. It would be perfect for me, except that my Mamiya C220 TLR does not have a cold shoe mount. Any suggestions for where to get a mount, and how to rig it up to the camera? I know that some of the C220's had a mount on the left side near the top/front, but mine does not. Any ideas that do not involve just super gluing it to the side would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, on reveni-labs.com there is a sticky cold shoe accessory that uses double sided tape to let you mount it wherever you'd like, along with other accessories to make the meter easier to use for various situations and preferences

@@AnalogResurgence I live in Courtice, a stone throw east of Oshawa, literally. I’ve just started shooting outside with my 1974 SX-70, 1978 Sonar and 1980’s SLR-680 all with mixed results because have been shooting indoors since like forever. Anyways, my Instagram is I am the Dutchman if you wanna see what I’ve shot Polaroid wise lately. Up to you of course, just ignore the other shit. I’m old (55) and really don’t care. But, I love shooting Polaroid and my old Pentax ME 35mm. Have Rubbermaids full of pics I shot back in the 80’s up until the one hour labs went for the ultimate sheezotski. Used to wait weeks for images from labs before the one hour show started. So now, I’m back to instant. Never really liked digital, especially at first. Colours sucked and no thrill waiting for the envelope that was full of the ultimate prize, or sheer disappointment. Plural on both counts. Really dig your channel, thanks for sharing your knowledge......

Is it 3D printed? This might have been what I was looking for if I had known about it a year ago. I have a Yashica A TLR and a Kiev 4a without light meters and a Rollei 35s. While I could get batteries for the Rollei and they did last about 6 months, I decided overall, a light meter was needed for all three. I bought a used Sekonic L-408 for $99. I previously owned a Sekonic L-408 for 20 years and finally let it go because I never used it. One year later I bought the same light meter because I did need it then. I had tried to use a light meter app on my phone but in bright light, I couldn't read the screen so it was useless. Let us know how this durable this light meter is.

Honestly it is ok. I got one for my M3. My main problem with this guy is that it eats up the battery kind of quick so make sure to buy plenty of batteries. TBH I kind of don't care to have this on my camera so I may get the wrist band or toss it in my pocket. I also went with it because of it being made in Canada and not China.

@@7evive ah, yes the meter is accurate. It is not going to be as accurate as a spot meter or incandescent meter but it will help you get a good overall exposure given you know how a meter works and how it evaluates the scene. You could probably get just as good results from a app but that is not the point of this product.

This may be a good meter but it looks like junk. This type of device should be manufactured properly out of alloy for what the current asking price is. Using 3 D printers for something like this is cheap and nasty. That's exactly what it looks like.
