Because anybody whos actually taught will tell you that students dont read it or refer back to it over the course of the semester. Had to make a rule that if the question could be answered by reading the syllabus, id just ignore it over email.

I had a friend whose mother used to teach our class math. And she used to beat us more💀💀💀💀💀💀 even though we were her best students. Like once we had to collect copies from our classmates and give them to her. (Last copy checking for the grades.) But most of our classmates didn't complete their work and begged us not to take them. We were like ok. Strength in unity? If none of us submits then she will have to extend the dates. It was friday. On monday morning she was standing in class, I entered and saw my bro (her son) standing with his head low. I sighed and stood beside him. She then said, "Duster or ruler?" we looked at each other and were like "Duster please". She then hit us with the wooden side of the duster on the back. Damn it used to hurt but we were men and wouldn't flinch. Only we used to get punished in her classes. Like we both would solve the entire textbook in like a month or two and then chill and talk in her classes. But she was good even though she used to beat us🤣🤣🤣🤣
