I lived in Eureka and went to Humboldt State University. Whenever we would go into the redwoods we would start to whisper. It's like an outdoor cathedral. You feel like you're in church. Everybody seems to get these feelings. Great reverence for what surrounds you. You feel as small as an ant. I recommend you all visit here at least once in your lifetime. I've been really blessed.

Words cannot express how much I loved this film. The masterful cinematography and photography, the narration (as well as the quiet moments in between), the unique camera perspectives, the lack of unnecessary drama (animals dying and killing each other) and the passion for nature all came together perfectly to create a very moving nature documentary. One could derive from the narrative that the makers truly love and revere our living world. For the first time, it felt as though the passion for nature matched my own. I will be sharing this with as many people as I can. Thank you for this incredible work of art and love.

ALTHOUGH the giant sequoia and redwood are closely related, they exhibit many individual characteristics that distinguish them from each other. The giant sequoia is found growing singly or in groups scattered for a distance of 250 miles along the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada in central California at elevations of 4,000 to 8,000 feet. The redwood grows near the Pacific Ocean along the northern California coast in a more or less continuous belt about 450 miles long and 15 miles wide. I'm 68 years old, one of the central things on my bucket list is to see these trees.

I am truly loving this video! But I'd like to point out that in California State Parks, they do not allow dogs, even on leash, on the trails in any Redwood Park. They will, however, allow dogs in campgrounds, but that's it. And if you leave your dog in your car, be aware that you can be cited for it.

I love dogs but some places are better without them. No one wants to finally get to this forest to see the trail lined with the poop of hundreds of dogs, or have barking and yelling echoing all over the forest.
