@@mrapple2544 You don't understand what I mean. I mean that he was so tall that his heart was having trouble bringing blood to his legs. That is why he couldn't feel the injury. And because he couldn't feel it, he didn't know that it was there. The injury later killed him.

He would have died from something else not much longer after. His heart would give, not able to breathe in enough oxygen, bones breaking too often as they are way to long, his joints would have worn away to the point that he’d die from pain, too much stretching of skin and muscles causing tears. The list can go on and on. I honestly think 6-6 1/2 feet tall are the best maximum as any bigger reduces life span and/or quality of life

@@blanket4763 he would most likely not make it past 40. Being that size is much too miserable for a human and his joints, his knees especially would have been a wild and probably wouldn’t walk much and have many heart problems

@@the_very_cozy_burrito doctors had examined his bones after his death and found that he was still growing quite fast even at that age so he probably would've passed 9ft if he lived a few more months. Can't really apply normal growth patterns to someone with that condition

The cost was everything. Since the condition was never treated, he would have continued to grow meaning even more pain and health issues. The human body is just not meant to get that big. For starters the heart simply can not pump enough blood to sustain the entire body. And then there's the constant strain on all of your joints that simply walking could cause you to snap every bone in your legs if you're not careful. And the list goes on.

I think the implication is that modern medicine will find out what is causing this type of growth and then we would treat it but it isn't explicit in that explanation.

i watched a video on this once. the pituitary gland is now able to be fixed, and theres no reason to not fix it, because it's extremely painful to be that tall. It's now a normal procedure i think? idk. yeah, but can be fixed now

Correction: Zeng Jinlan already died in 1982, who is also the tallest woman EVER. The woman on the picture in this video is Yao Defen who also already died in 2012, she also previously claimed the title until her death. The tallest woman ALIVE is Rumeysa Gelgi from Turkey, around 7 feet 0.7 inches. Though Gelgi is comparatively shorter than the 2 mentioned, she is still alive. She was also the tallest female teenager, according to Guiness World Records.

Bc no one’s gonna be as tall as 8’11 how is it not that obvious the only time someone is gonna be that tall is if they have a health problem like a tumor in the brain so you tell me why it’s not obvious to you when it’s this obvious to me and I didn’t do any research

The tallest man in the world is called Sultan Kösen. He was a very close friend of my father, and when he died, it was the saddest moment of our life. We couldn't attend his funeral due to it happening in another country. But he will forever be remembered. He was a very nice and funny man. We really love and admire you Sultan.
