Whoever in chat said that it's easy for NL to say that as a part-time WFH video gamer was also right though. NL acts holier than thou while making $1m/yr for the past half decade playing video games occasionally. I get home from a 10 hour shift, dead ass tired, not even wanting to make dinner, let alone clean the dishes afterwards.

The small mention of paper plates made me immediately think back to the classic NLSS moment of roasting Rob for using them exclusively while he adamantly stuck by it. Good times. And then later on NL talked about sitting to pee. It's all coming full circle, holy crap. Nick was lit on fire for suggesting peeing while sitting down during an NLSS years ago.

same. i usually leave them in the sink, but then i thought, but y tho? putting them in the dish washer means that i know when it's been too long without using the dishwasher. then again, because it is my first apartment, and being single, i don't really have spare dishes to use. but then again again, i can buy more.

Am I the only one that has enjoyed him going for the achievements lately? I think it adds so much challenge to the game.

I certainly enjoy the achievement grind, similarly to the platinum god save file grind he did for Isaac. It brings a lot more to the table than solely going for meta builds, and could potentially find something new or fun with lesser used animals.

Very good point! Plates and even utensils are fast and easy for me to wash, but when I look over at the cast iron skillet caked with gristle... Ugh. Just annoying to clean

i find that most units can be useful but a lot of them are specialized. it’s harder to commit with a build that you can’t guarantee will scale long term. “ it’s been 15 rounds and i can’t find a single level up for the unit i built this run around” kinda deal

@Reznoff Isn't that true for most scaling engines? Chicken is definitely more polarized considering it doesn't give an immediate power-boost, I'll give you that. But a T7 puppy for example isn't exactly great either, and not many people would disagree puppy is a solid pet.

I feel like otter and dog don’t go well together, since dog specifically wants a new pet to get a buff, but the level 2 otter buff doesn’t apply unless you put the otter directly on the otter when buying it, so you will always miss the otter buff or the dog buff to an extent if you run otter dog

Won last night with a level 3 shrimp and a level 3 pig. I would never have gotten this far without you NL (the 50/50 dog I had in the squad as well really helped seal the win)

I've been wondering how they could make horse better. A permanent boost would be interesting, but i dont think that would actually make it much better. What I was thinking was maybe have it give a +2/2 to only the first friend summoned until the end of the battle. Level two would be +4/4, level three +6/6. I dont think it would be that overpowered early game. It could give it at least mid game potential and still be good on a summon build for a while. It would also give a little more to think about into the shop phase.

I think it's fine to just make horse decent and put it at tier 2 or 3. If it has to be a level 1 unit, I'd like to see it level up more efficiently without being affected at level 1, like +1/+3/+5 attack

I think dishes are pretty circumstantial. I work at a school mind you so I dont eat lunch at home, and breakfast is normally something dishless like a bagel or toast with a protein shake in individual bottles so I can grab and go. Thus I only really eat dinner at home, and it'd take me days to actually fill the dishwasher. As such I tend to run it only once a week, then once on the weekend. Running the dishwasher daily for a plate and glass a day doesn't really make sense lol but enough cookware for dinner is used normally after 3ish days to warrant running it. Meanwhile NL normally eats all his meals at home, as well as Kate and anything the baby can have washed. So 6 plates, cups and silverware and any pots and pans is certainly enough to warrant running daily

I think people don't know how to use their dish washers properly. a lot of people wash their dishes by hand before sticking them in the machine for some reason. since everyone is pushing those dishsoap tablets now nobody is using the pre-wash soap compartment so their dishwashers do a shitty job. I think a lot of people are weird about how long a dishwasher cycle takes too even though it's all time that you don't actually have to do anything. Put some soap in the pre-wash, people! If you're using the tablets than pop a chunk off and put it in there. If you don't have a pre-wash slot then just toss some in the bottom of the machine.

@@tim_schu5850 even with pre wash you cant put crusty dishes in a dishwasher and have them come out perfect. Just don't be lazy and rinse them off as soon as you're done using them, and if you didn't scrub them before putting in the dishwasher.
