I am from United States I love farming but all I see here is the general public pushing farmers away so they can have there high life farms sold to build housing complexes the prices a farm product are very low but you buy through the but at the store somebody is making money off the it it’s mind turning on how people don’t care anymore about the people who grow and produce the food they eat to them they just go to the store I am 61 years old I have worked on a dairy farm most of my life now work in grocery store stocking shelves and I see how people are so relaxed about the food they eat. it saddened some day they are going to wake up and find out they killed the hand that fed them and what will they do then go to a store that has nothing on its shelves. There choices

Although animal welfare might be really, really good in Switzerland. The cows, pigs, and chickens still meet the same horrific death. The slaughter of perfectly healthy animals is the one part of the industry they do not want you to see, because murder is never pretty, not even in Switzerland. If a swiss cow has a beautiful life in the alps or on a farm, is happy and loves its life, then it is almost more cruel to take all of that away. We have somehow made it acceptable in our culture to slit open a cow's throat and take away its life, but if someone would do the same to a dog with the same reasons behind it (meat, leather, dairy) it would be revolting to everyone. Why do we love some animals and kill others? There is no moral justification.

I agree. I have immense respect for farmers, cuz they keep us alive and I also appreciate what they're doing to be more sustainable. However, parts of this video feel more like what we call 'Greenwashing', especially the part that you mentioned.

@@nataneley Yes. Meat is certainly delicious and I used to love it. I've eaten meat and dairy for 20 years before I went vegetarian and then eventually vegan. I did it on a trial basis first, with a gradual transition and with help from alternatives like plant based burgers which taste just as good. Apart from the moral and environmental reasons, I feel much more fitter, energetic and I feel a strong connection to the food I eat and also to nature. To be able to experience such a wide range of flavours that plant based foods can provide is a very liberating feeling that I hope more people get to experience.
