I’ve been seeing a lot of comments about how you guys deserve to have a show on a streaming platform. And I absolutely agree that this is quality content and I’d like to see more like it on paywall streaming platforms. But as somebody who works in the television industry I can’t stress enough how awesome it is to see you guys doing this level of production on your own terms, supporting your own team, and being able to control your creative content (not to mention your focus on sustainability - the film/tv industry’s footprint is too much!). I would never want any creator to sacrifice that to a larger conglomerate. Keep doing what you’re doing. Y’all are the future ✊

I think the same thing! They are in control of the production, designs and edit! TSG doesn't go to trendy, they are super respectful of the original space, and I love their slightly awkward editing humor! I wouldn't want that tainted by a large production company! But they totally deserve it!

I loved the reveal that the grandma knew the renovation was happening was so touching and really added to the meaning of this as now the girl can enjoy it without wondering if her nan would have been okay with it or not. The painting of the nan as well was a wonderful touch, well done 👍

Listening to her talk about her grandmother gave me chills. Makes me think my own Nonna is watching me watch y'all. 😍

I don't know what it was about this episode but I was happy crying the whole way through! Loved the story of the grandparents, Mitchel's surprise and Kate's whole reaction to the space was incredible! Gorgeous works girls, and to the whole production team behind the series! Really hoping for a season 2!!!!!

Its lovely..thankfully its becoming more common in Canada...im in academia and this is something we always want to acknowledge...its common in liberal circles and fields (TIFF is an example)...even my daughter's public school starts with a land acknowledgement to start the morning announcements...so the fact that it is there in public education, its going to do great things for our future generations.

I LOVED finding out with her that her grandmother knew about and blessed this makeover. Even though she must have believed her grandmother would be happy for them to do it there must have been some doubts so to know that she gave permission is so awesome.

the fact that this is free content for us to enjoy and watch on youtube blows my mind. I am one of the lucky ones to be able to say I've been here for years and watched you grow once you get your own network show!!

I really like how they made so small changes here and there and within so much less time and it made such a big difference. It looks achievable to people like us who are sitting in their homes and want to make their homes beautiful too.u inspired me a lot today.

Hand on heart, I love The Sorry Girls and everything they do so much that they are the only KZreadrs that I will suffer through all the ads for! Man, can you imagine if they actually made it on tv…I’d be so over the moon for them.

I'm sure if they took on a tv show it'd be something they believe in. But I'm sort of happy they aren't on tv. I like that they have the full creative control over what they're doing. I don't want anyone else involved telling them what to do.

Confession time - The Sorry Girls are the ones who made me finally sign up forKZread Premium, because I couldn’t stand the mid-roll ads anymore! 😝 I’ve been watching them for some years now (can’t be more specific, because what is time even?!), but I go through phases where I binge watch different channels and catch up… in the spring I started watching a bunch of TSG videos from my backlog, a lot of the time when I was washing dishes or cooking, so having to either put up with the ad interruptions or reach up and skip all the time (while wearing wet rubber gloves in the sink!! My poor iPad keyboard…), sent me over the edge.

Husband was so sweet to pulling this off without her knowing! Also, Sorry Girls you have UP your game with these gorgeous videos, Production, Editing, it all looks like a TV show. Amazing job! I have enjoy watching this series and has inspire to have fun decorating. Greetings from Mexico.

My great grandmother passed in March and was also 94... I immediately started sobbing!! She so deserves this beautiful space for her family and I just know her grandma is watching over them always.

First, it is beautiful how you acknowledge the land and the people in the intro. Class act ladies! Second, This was my favorite makeover of the series. The room was gorgeous to begin with. I love the changes, subtle but very impactful. And the painting of Grandma was so special.

You all deserve a show immediately!!! Like on Hulu or Disney+ or netflix! Y’all need to try to pitch it to streaming services or networks!!

@@quadbox Oh I don't know. Look at all the women who wear ridiculously high heels. There is no way they are comfortable. Lots of people choose fashion over comfort. I was just worried about her stepping on the hem of her kimono while trying to maneuver the box spring on the stairs. That's just dangerous. ;) I was not judging her fashion style. :)

And with all of their experience painting and what not, it's easy to not make a mess of things. They're so used to doing stuff like that it doesn't even occur to them anymore.

This is my favourite episode of upgrading my stay so far. The whole story and the couple's reaction is such a wholesome

The space reminds me so much of the vibes of that Becky was going for in her kitchen!

Not just because the upgrade was amazing, but I feel like we got a story throughout - from the sweet surprise makeover that Grandma was in on, and hearing about the history of the property and the love the grand daughter had for her grandmother.. it was all just so heartwarming I forgot we were watching a makeover. Great episode to end the season. All these episodes are great, but there was something particularly endearing about the fact he arranged it all for her, and with her grandmother's permission.

I don’t understand how we manage to watch full productions, amazing ones at that, for free. It’s insane the production value of these. Currently getting me through a very bad patch!

I almost cried SO MANY TIMES… just knowing you guys cared so much about improving this space… it showed, and was sooooooo sweet. When you hugged her photo as you were thinking of where to place all the frames. Myyyyyy HEART. I love and miss my grandmother, so I felt her joy, and grief.

This was a fabulous makeover! Not huge changes, but just enough to update without destroying the cozy vibe. LOVE it!!! ♥♥♥ I am curious, though.....who pays for these makeovers? Does the client? Or the Sorry Girls?
