Potensic Atom= really good drone. The only downside is the small sensor. Id recommend it 👌 Everyone is waiting for the Atom 2, hopefully its going to be awesome!

@JustStephen89 No, i dont have any info,but I heard a rumour that it's coming out this year.

I bought the 3-Axis gimbal Potensic Atom about a month ago and found it to be the "best bang for the buck". found a used one on ebay for $189 for the standard kit. I have had a DJI Phantom 3 as my first drone and the Potensic Atom is a more capable drone than it ever was. I love it. It practically flies itself, I highly recommend it as someone's first drone.

It really is good value for money. Best money I've spent. I've had it a few months now and love it. So I'll be keeping this around a long time then come. This is my 1 and only ever drone so I'm happy I chose this one. Glad your enjoying yours as well 👍🏾

New sub! Like the 'straight to point, concise info' provided on your videos! Watching your vids has sold me to buy it as a beginner and just enjoy it as a first timer! Qs: do you know if you can use the Atom SE battery with the 4K (3 Axis) one? Or if there is any different? Weighing up the standard kit Vs Fly more combo! 🤔🤔

I don't think there compatible but I'm not 100%. I'm pretty sure I read there not though because they changed them to make them to make them "lighter".

The Potensic atom is a great drone I’ve just got one as well. Really good video

That was a wonderful video on the performance of the Potensic Atom drone. I am a novice drone pilot with a DJI Mini 2. I have a few questions about the Potensic Atom drone. (1) is the gimbal on this drone on 3 axis? (2) Does this drone have built-in remote ID? I look forward to your response.

Thanks a lot, much appreciated. It is a 3 axis gimble yes. What do you mean by remote id? If it's what I think it is, it doesn't have one. Something about being used for recreation and under 250g so I think the answer is no. Hope that helps

Potensic is changing the whole drone market. Buy two. I did.

Great video, ive had mine for about 3 months, and i have no complaints, just a pity there are no nd filters( yet) that would take it to a whole new level 👍

Glad your enjoying it, I've had mine about 4 months and love it. I've just been to the beach and taken some good shots so I'll post a video of that soon. Super impressed with the quality. Funny you say that about Nd filters, while I was away I was thinking they would make some of the shots so much better. Hopefully soon though 👍🏾

@JustStephen89 I have emailed potensic an asked the question? Also suggested to them an exposure lock so the colours and white balance doesn't alter during the shot, I'm used to dji products but had a life changing injury so my expensive gear had to go sadly, but there is a lot of potential for the atom, 👍

@@LaurenceLDN hi not when i had mine i did ask potensic, for me i prefer to have known reliability so ive since purchased the dji mini4k, its only £399 not much more than the potensic in price but does everything it should and nd filters are available, which sadly are not for the potensic hope this helps

Before Xmas last Year Amazon had them at £370 ish....i was tempted but the Price i was considering it ,but a week before Xmas price Dropped to £319 think it was, Snapped one up

Great video on the Atom. Lovely views. It does handle the winds pretty well but I wouldn’t recommend flying it in stronger winds than it can handle. Overall, it’s an amazing little quad that competes with DJI

Thanks, really appreciate it. I love this drone and what it can do. Really bang for your buck. I agree though, strong winds with it is a no no. And a very good alternative to a DJI 👍🏾

Most consumer DJI drones have pretty crap sensors and they're not really worth the extra unless you want the other bells and whistles and you want to buy into the brand. Imo the Mavic 3 is the only decent drone for photographers but for fun and some video the Atom (3 axis) is a much better buy than DJI

That's a drone id love to get my hands on along with an fpv drone. Love to fly them. Maybe one day 👍🏾.

I have a six month old atom se, battery, that is not charging. Six months old only been charged a few times, all they offered after wasting days, was a discount off a new battery, they told me I had to pay for a replacement battery, surely a battery should last a lot longer than six months, only being used a couple of times.

Is it not under warranty? Surely you'd be able to get replacements as it's a fault?

Mine dropped outta the sky and in a pile of rubble. They should send me a diff drone.

The last android app update has limit locked altitude to 394ft, this has ruined the drone experience for me. I cant unlock it. I used to fly as high as 1500ft to record footage of mountains near my home without issue. Now i can't go above 394ft. There should be an option for the end user to remove that and accept the risk. You don't have the option and take it away from the user.

That's interesting, I think mine was locked to 394 from the getgo. I'll have to have a look and test that out. 1500ft? That's crazy high, and with the glitchy screen isn't something I'd be confident doing in the 1st place. I've never known it to be able to fly so high? Maybe my settings are set to something different

@@JustStephen89 yeah man the ceiling was 2000 odd ft. I've got a screenshot on my phone of the settings under safety in the app from a while ago. I've had the drone since it first released so to go from having that altitude ceiling to 394ft is hard. Especially when you could get some really amazing footage above the clouds. I think I tested the limits by going to around 1900/2000ft at one time. Great review also. Really enjoyed the video.

I've been told by someone in my comments of another video that if you go into settings on your controller you may be able to change the flight height from 120m ? In the flight settings? Maybe have a try and see if you can change it. I'll do the same today and maybe recod a video on it 👍🏾

@@CMAC86 Could you install an older version of the Android APK to get access to the previous app settings? (If you're running an Android phone of course).

Thank you for clarifying the Potensic Atom drone is a 3 axis drone. As of March 2024 in the U.S., the FAA requires registered drones to have remote ID. I like the Potensic Atom drone. I think all new drones sold in the U.S. are equipped with remote ID.

In the U.S.A. if a drone weighs under 250 grams they are not required to be registered or have a remote ID.

Don't buy anything from potensic. They have no after sales service. They end up asking you to explain and go through the motions with them, making out that they are helping you with your problem. Then after they tell you all the secrets of the drone world, all of a sudden they then start to turn from helping you. To getting you to pay for their service, in the end they turn the tables on you, then tell you it's not potensics, fault and you will need to pay. For their services.

I've not had a fault with mine so I cannot say what aftercare is like .. Thanks for sharing your experience though, good to hear the good and bad sides of everything 👍🏾
