Awesome!! Lead vocals are important, but harmonizing is a huge talent and essential to making a complete package. Another difficult aspect is the choreography and Mary and Flo make it look so fluid. Descending stairs in rhythm to the music is difficult enough. Imagine having to do it staring into stage lighting and with heels and a gown on. And somehow the ladies make it look sexy and alluring. What talents!! 💞🥰

@@erossinema8797 … no, just no. You accepted the lies that Barry Gordo put out all these years. Florence Ballard was not overweight and she certainly was not fat as Gordo said to her repeatedly. And if you think a performer is drinking, well then you don’t know the business. Florence was not an alcoholic. The Supremes were overworked. They were cash cows. Barry Gordo would not give them time off. All Florence wanted was some time off. And if she coped with alcohol, that certainly wasn’t unheard of in the entertainment business.

@@Jasper7182009 How the hell do you know? Were you there? It was a cumulative process of bad behaviors that led to Flo's dismissal. You're another one of those weirdos that think alcohol consumption is no big deal. I've seen it destroy many families. Have you ever dealt with an alcoholic? They are so freakin' annoying. You might as well be dealing with someone in an insane asylum. I get that Flo was a full figured woman, and anyone standing next to Diana Ross at the time would have looked larger than life and fat at the time. However, you obviously have never seen the film footage I've seen. I think they were on a talk show, or something, and Flo's calves were as wide as a balloon (an exaggeration) but yeah, she was fat. Plus, why would Berry be so eager to get rid of Flo and not Mary. Flo was a live audience crowd pleaser. And Mary. Because of her dumb ass---she is the reason Syreeta was not picked as lead singer for the 1970s Supremes. Overworked? Well if you wanted to see overworked, just take a look at anorexic Diana at the time. The difference is, Diana is a strong trailblazer who gets out in the trenches. She didn't just talk the talk, she walked the walk, , yet everyone thinks it was like a 5 star beach resort in Maui for Diana. No, it wasn't Don't try and make excuses for alcoholics to me. @@Jasper7182009 I think the Supremes were definitely overworked, but Florence also had a problem with alcohol. Her weight problems were over-exaggerated, and problems fitting tight gowns were solvable. Berry could have done _just a little bit_ to make Mary and Florence feel less stepped on. Each should have had a solo in their shows, and they should have been able to speak more in interviews as time went on. We don't know if these changes would have shifted the dynamic with Florence, but treating her poorly was absolutely not going to help.

My name is Steve and Love The Supremes! This performance on The Andy Williams show was absolutely excellent and especially hearing "Let there be love". The harmonies between The Supremes and Andy Williams was phenomenal. Florence Ballard stands out as always. She always looks so beautiful and glamorous and your voice is pitch perfect here and in all other performances. Mary does a beautiful job too and was terrific as a solo artist. May these ladies rest in peace in heaven above. Yes Diana was the lead singer and went on to having a great solo career. However, Mary did a beautiful job keeping up The Supremes legacy the way no one else did. Florence was trying to do all she could make a comeback and was on the road to doing that until the Lord called her home to heaven. God bless these girls and Berry Gordy and Motown!

None other than the incomparable original Supremes - magnificent Flo, exceptionally beautiful Mary, and the controversial but undeniably talented ambitious and formidable Diana Ross. Very nice duet with Andy Williams. Florence had a very good gospel voice as did the Tupelo MS born Elvis so its unfortunate they never were paired as they very likely could have been a very successful duo.

They really sounded good together. Too bad most people haven't heard this, and they didn't do a record together.
These harmonies are so beautiful! All three of their vocals were essential to the success of the group. Most of their recordings Flo and Mary were dominant on the songs just like Diana even though she was lead. And a lot of their earlier recordings they did share lead. It just so happened the records that became hits Diana song. They had magic together as a trio which is why Diana went solo shortly afterwards. When Flo left the sound definitely changed.
