“It has pedals, and wheels… and we go” I love her!
That looked so wholesome. Really makes me wish there were more events like this around here. Even the "party pace" events are full of fast gravel grinders that are already on their 2nd beer by the time we get to the end...

Russ, this was arguably the coolest video you've ever posted. More of these if you get the opportunity, please!
This is testament to the maxim that there's more than one way to get the job done. So many good ideas here! Thanks for the vid Russ 👍🏻
watching other people's kit and bikes is probably my favorite thing to do when I'm not riding. So many great setup in that video
Good seeing those people and their bikes! I miss the Seattle bike scene. Rosemary used to live in my neighborhood. Machiko and Alder are such a cool bike family. I didn't even know RJ was into bikes.
Super cool! I'm not really into events and just generally prefer riding alone, but so cool to see all the smiling faces and their set-ups. What a cool atmosphere too!! Not at all bro-y the way some race events tend to be.
i really like that you interview common people, not just some bike reps or "famous" riders.
So grateful for this channel Russ! Great to know about these events & sharing everybody's spoked partners, a real treat, and so informative ☺☺ I know PLP is well regarded and cherished- Easy to imagine 1,000,000 subscribers sooner than later !
I like how Annie oriented her Aeroe bags. I have the same set up but run my bags horizontally instead of upright. I ams going to try setting it her that way when I ride this weekend.
Love how you cut this Russ - it reminds me of some of those virtual showroom videos that companies like Chris King put on during the pandemic. Very pretty and lovely.
Nice to see you and Laura taking another look at this event. I am surprised at lack of fenders across these given every time I have watched vblogs on this PNW event, the consistent rain that week. My desert fan boy bias showing. And well done on showing the supple eye candy and interviews.

Fenders make sense if you have some control but honestly, if it's a long ride and you'll be around mud, you're getting muddy with or without fenders.
One of your best! This video reflects the values of your channel. Sure to put a smile 😊 on many viewers faces!
You did a survey a bit ago. Just be you, that's what the channel needs, Great video!
I loved this video so much! It's so fun to see people talk about their bikes. Thanks for this!
Great seeing all the different bikes and how everybody was carrying their gear.
More video's like this please, amazing to see all these amazing people
Super fun vid Russ! Love seeing all the permutations. Bikes as different as their owners!
Awesome video, loved to see all these people talking about their bikes and how they choose to strap stuff to them!
Awesome to see my friend Machiko and her Rodriguez!
More content like this! Great video. Bike/rider introductions at events lime this should become regular content.
Best video I’ve seen Bikepacking related in a while! Love the presentation from the owners
Goodluck guys! Love to see your wonderful bikes!
Great to see so many new people in the mix and we definitely need more events like this. Russ, why isn't there a Party Pace event yet!!?
Thanks, Russ! Nice looking assortment of bikes.
Love seeing what other people are riding and the modifications they have made to their bikes.
Love this. Really cool to see the variety in not only equipment but riders themselves! Newer to the sport so hoping to get in on events like these 🤙
Russ, Great video. Loved the interviewing format.
Great video, Russ & Laura. Always interesting to see how others set up their bikes. The number of times you think - oh why didn't think of that - make them worth the watching just for the ideas alone, ley alone the interesting people.
Thanks for this! Since the first time I saw it I was interested in that very first black step through. Such a nice bike!
Throughly enjoyed this video! Good to see Laura!
Great video Russ! Such great vibes.
Loved the overview on setups. Great event.

Loved this one Russ! So many cool people with their cool bikes, out there giving it a go. Can’t even pick a favourite, I will have to rewatch it. Interesting that there was hardly any bikes from mega brands (I suppose Salsa and Kona ARE major brands for bikepacking)
Looks like a cool event, interesting seeing all the different bike setups.
Thanks! I love this! I have been using an Absolute Black oval chainring for years and will never go back.
Very cool event! Thanks for sharing
I love the variety. It just goes to show there isn't one "right" bike or one perfect way to pack. Each setup is unique, just like the riders.
Such a smorgasbord of bikes and setups, thanks for posting.
That looks like SO MUCH fun!
Great interviews,great people,great channel 👍
Thanks Russ, that was great!
Go Road Holes! Love Machiko and Alders’s bikes!

Great vid Russ! Thank you!
terrific video, seems like a group of relaxed people. nice ideas in the bikes as well! but what I really like is the fact that so many seem to be in their 50s! Me turning 40 soon like the prospect of riding with people in 15 years time!

I LOVED this vlog.
Totally cool! Thanks
I abolutely love this video!
I like seeing the variety of builds and bags. It's great to see what the average bike enthusiast is riding instead of... ...oh you know the rest.
Ooooh yes. More like this please PLP
Thanks bloke, great vid 👌
The Tailfin rack is so good. PRICEY but worth it. I've the the trunk bag vice the aero pack like the one in the video, but it's soooooo good, no sway, doesn't get in the way on my MTB bike with a dropper and fits on my gravel bike as well without tools.
One of your best
omg alder has a nice rig and is so freaking cute!!!
Love it!
That looks cool .
Cool bikers and bikes!
Excellent nerding
Sweet! All Around great rigs and cool people. This is my favorite Path Less Pedaled post to date! More of this please!
So cool!
Would love to see more videos like this format looking at everyone's take on the rig that works for them...thanks for sharing!
Liked the interviews. Would like to hear more about the riders. Why are they riding this event? What do like about this event?
Yay, Bike Iowa!
So un-racing! Love it.
Hahaha amazing bike. Amazing people. I like that 😍

Anyone have idea how I can find these types of casual raids in Europe?
Were most people carrying tents? I'm always amazed at what little people were carrying when it came to the size of the bags. I did a tour this summer and would need a minimum of 35L in bags to bring everything. 55L was my comfortable way of bringing tent, pad, sleeping bag and some extra clothes and cooking gear. But maybe I need a smaller tent for these kinds of trips. EDIT: Oh, participants get one small bag that gets transported to the next camp. That makes things easier. You can just have your sleeping kit and tent be transported to the next camp.
That knife at 2:54 is so cool! Who makes it? I can't reed the name on the side.

Nice - bikepacking bike porn. That Aeroe rack is intriguing. Perhaps a future test? Enjoy the Overlander!
Nick from Yinzburgh!!!
Just a note for all you people over the pond: Flashing lights aren't really that good if you want to be seen and "mentally located", solid light on the front and solid red at the back are the best things to have.
At the 12 minute-ish mark- How was Tori’s Ti bike designed? Bike CAD? didn’t catch the name

i rode it last year on 700x35. Not recommended, but that's all i had. It was not optimal on washboard and on the Babyheads Hell Climb, but i survived the worst bits, and had just as much fun overall as everyone else. :-)
