The SUPERIOR Budget Fuzz? Mosky Audio Big Fuzz

Ойын-сауық

Could this 4 mode Fuzz pedal be the Behringer Super Fuzz beater? The Mosky Audio Big Fuzz takes 4 different fuzz tones and crams them into one extremely affordable box. Part of the Mosky M series, this will give you an Electro Harmonix Big Muff Pi tone, Solar Sound Tone Bender, Sludgy Muff variant and the fabled booster mode too. Get settled in as we take this pedal through it's paces and unlock all of the secrets on this episode of No Talk All Tone.
Big thanks to the sponsor of this show www.affordaboard.co.uk , who offer these with none of the wait time you get from ordering direct from China. They offer incredible prices, often beating the direct prices and supply with free UK shipping (or international shipping available, message him for details).

By dropping a comment there, you will please the algorithm gods and make my videos more visible, which would be awesome. If you have one of these yourself, let me know how you are getting on with it yourself in a comment or a video response, I'd love to hear how it is getting on in your rig through different amps and guitars.
The demo gear in this video is all run through Practical Patch cables, including instrument cables and patch cables. These are using some top-quality components, including Neutrik jacks and Van Damme cable and are hand-assembled and tested in the UK. After having off-the-shelf cables for years and suffering failures again and again, I bought some Practical Patch cables and have been happier than ever with them. They also don’t cost you the Earth, which some other hand made cable companies seem to do. If you want to find out more, head over to www.practicalpatch.co.uk to see what they have to offer.

    Just discovered you over the weekend and subscribed. Yeah I love my expensive pedals like my Boss Waza Crafts and JHS’s. But I’m a single dad with 2 daughters so budget pedals really are great for me for trying stuff I’ve never had a chance to try. Got a bunch of Joyo, Mosky, Flamma and Nux pedals. Seriously thinking about trying this one. Thanks for what you do, sir 🤘🏼🎸

    Yeah the budget end of the market has really come on in the past 5 years, so even if you're low on cash, there are always some great options. Thanks for the kind words my gent, this is the exact reason why I'm doing this. Great tone doesn't always have to cost so much and I'm here to show you the best ones 👍😉

    I’d be curious to see inside. My guess is the tonebender setting is either a Supa or Jumbo which is basically a muff without clipping diodes in the 2nd transistor stage, and with an output cap on the 3rd transistor, if it has a volume drop on the tonebender setting, that would mean it’s omitting the last transistor stage and is emulating the jumbo, I’m guessing the boost section is just the 4th transistor stage on its own, which is basically the lpb by EHX. The M setting sound like it could be transistor stages 1, 2 and four

    @@BudgetPedalChapif it says “fuzz” on it, it needs to be purchased! I have the SF300 and it’s become one of my favorite fuzzes in 27 years of playing. I’ve been down a serious Tonebender rabbit hole and am considering giving this a try. Can’t really swing $150 or more for the Keeley, JHS or Earthquaker right now.

    Or you could not swap but have em sitting side by side having both still for about half the price of just about any regular fuzz pedal. They both sound very different and totally different uses in my opinion. I have 3 fuzz pedals side by side and it gets me from funky to 90's alt/grunge to doom/stoner heavy sounds. Put some different types of OD's in front of them and the possibility's are endless. Between Behringer, mosky, and JOYO we are living in magical wonderland of tones on a budget.

    A good sounding pedal, but that thumbnail is total clickbait and none of the modes here cover the same territory as the SF300. Even the boost here is more of a transistor boost than the extremely clean boost of the SF300. But this just means I'll have to keep my SF300 after getting one of these. The pedal collection must grow.

  • @BudgetPedalChap

    @BudgetPedalChap

    I didn't mean to mislead you, the point was that the SF300 is a multi-voice fuzz with a boost, not that they are tonally similar. I was excited to share what I think might be a real budget fuzz gem and I agree that you could totally justify owning both. Mosky have done some great work with some of the others in this M series, almost giving things like the JHS muffaletta and bonsai a run for their money. Definitely worth checking out 👍
