Precious Okoyomon has created a gloriously alive yet poisonous #ecosystem. All the species selcted are united by their #toxic properties which range from mild to deadly. Subverting notions of #flowers as fragile, pure and innocent, Okoyomon instils this apparently tame setting with an ominous undercurrent. "Beloved", a stuffed #animatronic bear, lies on the ground, fluttering in and out of sleep, releasing a primordial scream. Yet, the most dazzling detail of this poisonous #paradise are the gorgeous #butterflies, which live, reproduce and die inside this garden over the course of the exhibition.

Precious Okoyomon ha creato un #ecosistema gloriosamente florido ma velenoso. Tutte le specie selezionate sono accomunate dalle loro proprietà tossiche che vanno da lievi a mortali. Sovvertendo l'idea che i #fiori siano fragili, puri e innocenti, Okoyomon infonde in questa ambientazione apparentemente domestica una vena minacciosa. "Beloved", un orso di pezza animatronico, giace a terra, esce e rientra dal sonno, rilasciando un urlo primordiale. Eppure, il dettaglio più curioso di questo #paradiso velenoso sono le splendide #farfalle, che vivono, si riproducono e muoiono all'interno di questo giardino nel corso della mostra.
